Regular, placement and Swachhta Didi employees of 184 urban bodies of the state are protesting peacefully for their legitimate demands at the Dharna Sthal in Naya Raipur under the banner of “Adhikari Karamchari Ekta Sangh”.

This demonstration is not only to protect the rights of the employees, but also an important appeal to keep the urban systems running smoothly. Body employees are the backbone of the city’s development and cleanliness system, and ignoring their problems affects the entire system.

All the officers and employees of Raipur Municipal Corporation are demonstrating their united support by taking out a rally. Due to the strike, all the zones and corporation offices of the capital are locked. About 1500 regular employees and 4500 placement employees are agitating peacefully for their demands. Meanwhile, the cleanliness system of the city has been completely disrupted, due to which the general public is facing difficulties.

President of Raipur Municipal Corporation Employees Union Pramod Jadhav, Women Chief Monika Yadav, Vice President Swati Sahu, Mohit Kumar, Shyam Soni, General Secretary Ashutosh Singh, Radheshyam, General Secretary Anshul Sharma Junior, Syed Zoheb, Secretary Nitish Jha, Yogesh Kadu, Joint Secretary Reena Patle, Bharatesh Netam, Treasurer Mohit Jaiswal, Media Incharge Piyush Agarwal and Rakesh Dubey, Organization Minister Santosh Verma, Ashish Sharma, Kuldeep Nayak, Manish Bhoi and Vallabh Sharma, and Women officials Ruchika Mishra, Nalini Sahu, Vandana Jadhav, Usha Baghel, Poonam Bhutani, Vinita Jaiswal, Sheela Sharma, Priya Tiwari, Usha Sindoor, Manisha and Nafisa addressed the meeting together. Also present were zone in-charge Ismail Khan, Rajesh Srivastava, Mohib Khan, Jitendra Niyal, Anand Tamrakar, Purushottam Yadav, Bamshankar Gupta, Ramkumar, Manish Bharatwani, Mahadev Raksel, Vijay Sharma and Amarnath Sahu.

The speakers said that “Our demands are completely justified. Our humble request to the government is that the problems of the employees should be resolved soon so that the urban systems of the state can run smoothly again.”

They also said that “Corporation employees always work in the interest of the public. We hope from the government that our voice will be heard and a solution will be provided by taking appropriate steps.”
