- Rajyotsav to be held from November 1 to 3; instructions issued to complete preparations within the stipulated timeframe
A state-level review meeting regarding preparations for the Chhattisgarh Rajyotsav 2026—scheduled to be held from November 1 to 3 to mark the state’s foundation day—was chaired today by Chief Secretary Shri Vikas Sheel at the Mantralaya (Mahanadi Bhawan). The meeting reviewed preparations for both the Rajyotsav and the State Awards Ceremony. The Chief Secretary directed all departments to complete their preparations within the deadline and to formulate action plans for their respective departmental exhibitions. He instructed that details regarding department-wise preparations and exhibitions be submitted by October 22. He emphasized organizing the Rajyotsav around a central theme, directing that the focus remain on future direction and development, incorporating subjects such as ‘Ease of Doing Business,’ ‘Human Capital Development,’ ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India), and ‘Anjor Chhattisgarh’ (Enlightened Chhattisgarh).
During the Rajyotsav, 40 state-level awards and honors will be presented by various departments. Instructions were issued to complete the award selection process according to the prescribed schedule. The Culture Department has been designated as the nodal department. The state-level event is proposed to be held at the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Industry and Trade Complex (Mela Ground) in Village Tuta, Nava Raipur Atal Nagar.
- Key Responsibilities Assigned to Departments
CSIDC, NRDA, and the Public Works Department have been assigned responsibilities regarding the fairground layout, stall allocation, arrangements for development exhibitions, the main stage, domes, pandals, seating, and barricading. Publicity and the setup of a high-tech media center will be handled by the Public Relations Department and CHiPS. The Raipur Municipal Corporation and NRDA will manage civic amenities, city bus services, drinking water, and sanitation. The district administration and police department will ensure security, traffic management, parking facilities, and fire safety arrangements. The Health and Energy Departments will make arrangements for medical services, ambulances, and uninterrupted power supply.

Prasanna, Secretary, Cooperation Department; Dr. S.
