The state government is continuously taking important steps to strengthen road infrastructure in Chhattisgarh. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, an amount of ₹12.63 crore has been approved for the strengthening and upgrading of two major roads in Jashpur district under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. Strengthening these roads will make transportation in rural and remote areas more accessible, safe, and convenient.
Under the approved works, Rs 5 crore 1 lakh has been approved for strengthening of 9 km stretch of Shivpur to Pathalgaon road and Rs 7 crore 62 lakh has been approved for strengthening of 18.6 km stretch of Duldula to Chatakpur-Lotapani road, Kunkuri.
Strengthening these two important routes will benefit a large number of villagers through improved road connectivity. Farmers will be able to transport their agricultural produce to markets, students to educational institutions, and patients and citizens to access health and other essential services. Improved road connectivity will reduce travel time and strengthen the connectivity of remote areas to main roads and markets.
