- Sindhi community panchayat to be held at CM residence;
- CM Dr Yadav extends best wishes for Cheti Chand festival
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that the state government is moving forward with development while preserving its cultural heritage. Our aim is to respect the traditions and culture of every community and provide equal opportunities to all. Whether it’s business, education, or social service, the Sindhi community has made significant contributions to the state and country’s progress, giving society a new direction through their hard work, dedication, and positive thinking. A special Sindhi community panchayat will soon be held at the Chief Minister’s residence. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing a program organized at Ravindra Bhavan on the occasion of Cheti Chand, the birth anniversary of Lord Jhulelal, celebrated as the Sindhi community’s New Year.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav extended his best wishes to the community members for the festival. MLA Shri Bhagwan Das Sabnani and representatives of the Sindhi Central Panchayat were specially present at the event. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was welcomed with a shower of flowers. Bhajans and musical performances were also included in the program.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Cheti Chand, besides marking the beginning of the New Year, is also a reflection of faith, unity, and cultural pride. This festival inspires us to follow the path of harmony, service, and humanity, in accordance with the teachings of Lord Jhulelal. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the Sindhi community has presented numerous examples of struggle and re-establishment in the face of difficult circumstances. History records the contribution made by Raja Dahir to protect religion and culture from heretics nearly 1200 years ago. At the time of independence, the Sindhi community faced the hardships of partition with determination and courage, re-establishing itself through struggle and establishing its identity. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav remembered martyr Hemu Kalani and praised the contribution of Shri L.K. Advani to Indian politics.
MLA Shri Bhagwan Das Sabnani said that Chief Minister Dr. Yadav is sensitive to the problems of the common man. Under his leadership, all sectors, including trade, industry, and agriculture, are experiencing rapid development, and the people of the state are benefiting from it. Mayor Mrs. Malti Rai and senior members of the community were present at the event.
