To mark the Silver Jubilee year of Chhattisgarh state’s formation and to connect the state’s youth with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ (Developed India 2047) and the resolve for a ‘Developed Chhattisgarh,’ the ‘Yuva Udaan’ program was organized at the AG Auditorium in Narayanpur. The event saw extensive participation from meritorious students, national and state-level athletes, differently-abled individuals, skill development trainees, and surrendered former Naxalite youths—all aged between 16 and 24.

Addressing the youth at the ‘Yuva Udaan’ program, Chhattisgarh’s Minister for Forest and Climate Change, Shri Kedar Kashyap, stated that during this Silver Jubilee year of the state’s formation, the youth power of Chhattisgarh would realize Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ and ‘Developed Chhattisgarh.’ The active participation of talented students from the Bastar region, national athletes, and youth engaged in skill development is charting a new course for the state’s progress. The state government is fully committed to fostering the skills, education, and sports talent of the youth, providing them with every possible opportunity to play a leading role in nation-building with confidence.

Inspiring the youth, the Chairman of the State Youth Commission, Shri Vishwa Vijay Singh Tomar, remarked that bookish education alone is not enough; Young people must continuously develop their talents, skills, curiosity, and creativity. It was stated that the primary objective of ‘Yuva Udaan’ is to provide the right direction and platform for talent, thereby fostering leadership qualities, self-confidence, and a spirit of nation-building among the youth. Information regarding the Youth Commission’s website, as well as the QR code and Google Form for registration, was also shared.
- Experts Share Mantras for Nation-Building

Experts provided guidance during the program’s intellectual sessions. Focusing on the theme “Youth Power – Nation Power,” Dr. Meenakshi Thakur highlighted the pivotal role of youth in initiatives such as Viksit Bharat (Developed India) 2047, Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-reliant India), and ‘Make in India.’ Dr. Vishwajeet explained the constitutional and practical aspects of this national theme to the students in simple language and underscored the significance of the ‘One Nation, One Election’ concept. Similarly, Dr. Satish Pandey used inspiring stories to encourage the audience to maintain a positive mindset and a zeal for continuous learning.
- Talented Students and Outstanding Athletes Honored
Talented individuals who brought laurels to the district in the fields of education and sports were specially honored on stage. In the academic sphere, Bhavika Dewangan, who secured the first position in the district in Class 10 with 94.33% marks, and Kovita Korram, who secured the second position with 94% marks, were felicitated. In the sports arena, awards were presented to Santay Potai and Monika Potai (Mallakhamb winners at the Khelo India Tribal Games 2026); Shashikant Kumeti and Manish Kovachi (Khelo India Football runners-up); Amrita Gota (All India Kho-Kho qualifier); Samuel Kallo and Kishor Kavdo (National School Games Kho-Kho winners); and national-level player Divya Kange.
A large number of public representatives, administrative officials, teachers, and youths—including the Municipal Council President, Janpad Panchayat President, District Collector, Superintendent of Police, and Divisional Forest Officer (DFO)—were present on the occasion.
