- Bhanupratappur students made an educational tour of KTU
Students from the Department of Journalism at Government Maharishi Valmiki College, Bhanupratappur, conducted an educational tour of Kushabhau Thakre University of Journalism and Mass Communication (KTU), Raipur. During the tour, the students, who came from the Bastar region, visited the university’s advanced laboratories and interacted with Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Manoj Dayal, to understand the nuances of mass communication. Inspiring the students, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Manoj Dayal said that only positive and unbiased journalism can build a strong and new
society
. He advised the students to hone their creativity in the media field and regularly conduct comparative studies of newspapers, TV, radio, and digital media.
- The students recorded their messages on the university’s community radio station, “Samvad.”
During the tour, the students observed KTU’s TV studio, community radio station, computer lab, library, and the AI and media research lab under construction. Under the guidance of Shridam Dhali, a faculty member from Maharishi Valmiki College, the students also recorded their messages on the university’s community radio station, “Samvad 98.2 FM.” During this, the students met the professors and researchers of the departments of Mass Communication, Electronic Media, Advertising and Public Relations and understood the working of the creative clubs and research centers of the university.

During the tour, the students received guidance from Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Manoj Dayal, Registrar Sunil Sharma and Assistant Registrar Dev Singh Patil along with various department heads and described it as a very informative and inspiring experience.
