
As part of the nationwide series of events organized to mark the 150th anniversary of the song ‘Vande Mataram’ and Independence Day, the South East Central Railway (SECR), Bilaspur, organized a grand and captivating band display by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) brass band team. The event took place on the evening of August 15 at the dome complex situated in front of VIP Gate No. 2 at Bilaspur Railway Station.
During the event, held from 6:45 PM to 8:00 PM, the RPF band team instilled a sense of patriotism among the passengers and citizens present by delivering magnificent performances of popular patriotic songs and melodious tunes. The band performed a variety of patriotic songs and tunes, including ‘Vande Mataram’, ‘Dil Diya Hai Jaan Bhi Denge’, ‘Ae Watan Ae Watan Humko Teri Kasam’, ‘Kadam Kadam Badhaye Ja’, ‘Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon’, ‘Aao Bachchon Tumhein Dikhayein Jhanki Hindustan Ki’, ‘Yeh Desh Hai Veer Jawanon Ka’, and ‘Saare Jahan Se Achha’.
The event concluded with the rendition of the National Song and the National Anthem, filling the atmosphere with a spirit of patriotism and national pride.
Shri Tarun Prakash, General Manager, South East Central Railway, Bilaspur, attended the occasion as the Chief Guest. Smt. Meenakshi Sharma, President, South East Central Railway Women’s Welfare Organization, Bilaspur, was present as the Guest of Honour. Also present were the Inspector General-cum-Principal Chief Security Commissioner (RPF/Bilaspur), Deputy Inspector General-cum-Chief Security Commissioner (Headquarters), other senior divisional officials, the Senior Divisional Security Commissioner (RPF/Bilaspur), as well as personnel from the Railway Protection Force and Government Railway Police, railway employees, passengers, and a large number of local citizens. The spirited and patriotic performances by the RPF band infused the atmosphere at the Bilaspur railway station complex with a sense of patriotism, enthusiasm, and love for the nation. Passengers and local citizens enthusiastically enjoyed the event and appreciated the band’s magnificent performances.
Security and traffic arrangements within the railway premises were managed smoothly throughout the event, which concluded in a peaceful and orderly manner.
