Farmers will soon receive 50 kg of sugar at a discounted rate: Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma
Under the proactive leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the state government continues to prioritize the welfare of farmers, leading to a considerable increase in their incomes. In line with this commitment, Bhoramdeo Cooperative Sugar Factory in Ramhepur, following the directives of Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, has recently disbursed Rs 6 crore 2 lakh as part of the FRP (Fair and Remunerative Price) payments for the 2023-24 crushing season. This brings the total payments made by the factory to Rs 113 crore 52 lakh, ensuring that all sugarcane farmers have received their due amounts for this season.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma stated that the Bhoramdeo Sugar Factory has successfully completed 100 per cent payment to all farmers. In addition to these payments, farmers will soon receive 50 kg of sugar at a discounted rate. This financial support has brought joy and relief to the farmers.
Continuing its tradition, Bhoramdeo Cooperative Sugar Factory is once again paying 100 per cent of the Fair and Remunerative Price (FRP) for the current year. Enhanced farmer awareness and the supply of high-quality sugarcane have led to increased recovery rates this season. As a result, farmers can expect a higher recovery amount compared to last year. This additional sum will be distributed soon, generating a wave of enthusiasm and optimism among the farming community.
It is worth mentioning that while FRP and recovery amounts are managed by the sugar factory, any additional incentives or bonuses are provided by the Agriculture Department of the Chhattisgarh Government. The state agriculture budget includes provisions for these bonus payments, which will be distributed to sugarcane farmers in the near future.
