- Modern smart classrooms, expert teachers, and AI-based technology to help shape students’ dreams
Under the guidance of Minister of Tourism and Culture, Shri Rajesh Agrawal, a significant educational initiative has been launched to help talented students in Surguja district realize their dreams of becoming doctors and engineers. Students attending government schools in the district will no longer need to travel to big cities to prepare for prestigious national-level competitive examinations like NEET and JEE. Instead, they will have access to high-quality coaching right within their own schools, supported by modern smart classrooms, subject-matter experts, and the latest digital technology.
On Saturday, during an event held at the District Collectorate conference hall, Minister of Tourism and Culture, Shri Rajesh Agrawal, inaugurated free live online coaching for NEET and JEE across 35 government higher secondary schools in Surguja district. Launched under the joint aegis of the District Mineral Foundation (DMF) and the School Education Department, this ambitious project will provide approximately 2,120 students with the opportunity to prepare for competitive examinations over a two-year period.

This initiative will prove especially valuable for talented students who, due to economic or geographical constraints, would otherwise be unable to move to large cities to access expensive coaching. Now, students in Surguja will have the opportunity to learn from national-level educators, prepare for competitive exams, and hone their talents—all from within their own schools. This is not merely the start of a coaching program; it is a strong foundation for the bright future of our children: Minister Shri Agrawal
Addressing the event, Minister for Tourism and Culture, Shri Rajesh Agrawal, stated that this is not just the launch of an educational project, but a commitment to give wings to the dreams of thousands of children in Surguja. Education is the most powerful tool through which the future of society and coming generations can be shaped. Our endeavor is to ensure that no talented student in Surguja is deprived of their dreams due to a lack of resources or financial constraints.

Minister Shri Agrawal emphasized that providing better resources and quality guidance to students in government schools—to help them prepare for national-level competitive examinations like NEET and JEE—is a top priority. Through this initiative, students will gain access to subject-matter experts, which will help alleviate the financial and academic challenges often encountered while preparing for such competitive exams.
He remarked that talent is not confined to big cities. With the right opportunities, proper guidance, and the determination to work hard, even a child from Surguja can carve out a distinct identity for themselves on a national stage. All that is required is to provide children with equal opportunities and the necessary resources to showcase their talent.
- Dream big, work hard to turn those dreams into reality, and bring honor to Surguja: Minister Shri Agrawal
Encouraging the students, Minister Shri Agrawal noted that achieving success in life requires setting clear goals, maintaining discipline, and working consistently hard. Alongside academic pursuits, good conduct and a positive mindset serve as essential cornerstones for success.

He urged the students to dream big, pursue those dreams with complete dedication, and—by achieving success—bring pride to their parents, their schools, the region of Surguja, and the entire state of Chhattisgarh. He further instructed school principals to ensure regular student attendance in the online coaching sessions and to keep parents engaged and motivated regarding their children’s education. 2,120 students from 35 schools to receive guidance from expert teachers over two years
Under this project, approximately 2,120 students in Class 11 (Science stream) will be provided with live online coaching for two years, covering the 2026-27 and 2027-28 academic sessions. Students in the Mathematics group will be able to prepare for competitive exams like the JEE, while those in the Biology group can prepare for exams such as the NEET.
The coaching will be conducted by PhysicsWallah Limited. Live, two-way interactive classes will be held simultaneously across all 35 selected government higher secondary schools in the district. In these classes—conducted in a bilingual format (Hindi and English)—students will be able to interact directly with subject-matter experts and have their queries addressed.

In addition to live classes, students will have access to resources such as recorded lectures, a mobile app, a learning management system (LMS), class notes, printed study materials, question banks, online mock tests, and an All-India test series.
- Student progress to be monitored via AI technology; modern education to be delivered in smart classrooms
A key feature of this project is the use of modern technology to assess students’ learning and performance. This includes AI-based learning analytics, performance tracking, and a reporting dashboard for parents. The academic progress of the students will be monitored.
Modern smart classrooms have been set up in all the selected schools. These are equipped with 75-inch 4K interactive flat panels, computer systems, wireless microphones, HD webcams, speaker systems, and a power backup facility lasting at least three hours.

Speaking at the event, Member of Parliament Shri Chintamani Maharaj noted that many talented students are often unable to access higher education or the necessary guidance for competitive examinations due to challenging economic circumstances. He commended this initiative, which aims to provide quality education to such students, and encouraged them to achieve success through hard work and dedication.
Lundra MLA Shri Prabodh Minj described the project as a vital step toward shaping the future of the youth. He urged the students to utilize their full potential while preparing for competitive examinations.
Shri Vishwa Vijay Singh Tomar, Chairman of the State Youth Commission, stated that this initiative would play a significant role in establishing Surguja district as a model for education.
