Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that Balaghat’s name itself is powerful. Through its own self-confidence, this district has successfully defeated the Himalayan challenge of Naxalism. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, an environment of Naxal eradication was created nationwide. The Madhya Pradesh Police launched an effective campaign, forcing the Naxalites to surrender, bidding the state adieu to the “Lal Salaam.” The role of the brave soldiers of the Hawk Force in Naxal eradication is commendable. Balaghat was once marked by bloodshed by Naxalites, but the bravery of the soldiers, the unwavering will of the police, and the public’s trust liberated the region from the shackles of Naxal terror. The state government is paying tribute to the martyred soldiers through the “Amar Jawan Jyoti.” We can proudly say that Madhya Pradesh is now free of Naxalites. At a ceremony in Balaghat, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav presented out-of-turn promotions to 60 brave soldiers who displayed indomitable courage and bravery in Naxal encounters. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was greeted with a salute upon his arrival at the Balaghat Police Lines. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav paid tribute to the soldiers who were martyred for the peace and security of the state by offering a wreath at ‘Amar Jawan Jyoti’.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated 32 police stations and other government offices of Balaghat district built as per ISO standards through remote; related certificates were also given from the stage. On this occasion, police jawans gave a soulful rendition of the song “Woh Banke Albele- Jo Wapas Na Laute- Is Mitti Ke Bete”. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav released the book “Naxal Memoirs”. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was greeted by presenting him a bouquet of flowers. Transport and School Education Minister Mr. Uday Pratap Singh, MP Mrs. Bharti Pardhi, former minister Mr. Gauri Shankar Bisen, ADG Anti-Naxal Operations Mr. Venkateshwar Rao, Superintendent of Police Balaghat Mr. Aditya Mishra along with MLAs and public representatives were specially present in the program.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that it is regrettable that former government minister Mr. Likhiram Kavre was publicly murdered in Balaghat. This was a major challenge for us, as Madhya Pradesh shares an 836-kilometer border with Chhattisgarh. Madhya Pradesh lost 38 police personnel and 27 civilians. With the blessings of Baba Mahakal, the state government has succeeded in eradicating Naxalism. Even in the challenging environment of dense forests, the Hawk Force adopted a mega-caso strategy to drive out the Naxalites and killed four notorious Naxalites. Anti-Naxal operations, 4104, a 23 percent increase compared to the previous year, continued despite the challenges of monsoon and wild animals. Our forces have eliminated the 10 most hardcore Naxalites in 2025. Naxalites were told to surrender or be killed. The police and the brave soldiers fulfilled this warning of the state government.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that the state government is making all necessary arrangements to ensure that Naxalites do not gain a foothold in the future. 250 Naxal-affected schools in Balaghat district have been renovated. One-stop centers for local citizens, forest rights leases for tribal communities, caste certificates, and employment camps have been initiated. This year is dedicated to agricultural welfare. The Agriculture Cabinet will now be held in Balaghat, Mahakaushal. By addressing the Naxal problem, we have avenged the murder of former minister, the late Likhiram Kavre. The ‘Amar Jawan Jyoti’ in Balaghat will become a memorial to the Naxal-free campaign. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav congratulated the police personnel for the success of the anti-Naxal campaign.

Minister for School Education, Transport, and the District in Charge, Shri Uday Pratap Singh, said that today is a historic and unforgettable day for Balaghat district. Madhya Pradesh has been freed from the Naxalite problem. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, the government, police, and local public representatives worked together. As a result, the Naxalite campaign is being brought to an end. Villages in Balaghat district are being connected with paved roads. Numerous development projects have been undertaken in the district, and we salute the police officers and staff who have struggled for nearly three decades. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav is continuously active in implementing public welfare schemes. The action against Naxalites, led by Prime Minister Shri Modi, has yielded positive results. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav had called on Naxalites to surrender. Thanks to the strong will of the Hawk Force, Madhya Pradesh has become Naxalite-free ahead of schedule.

ADG, Anti-Naxal Operations, Shri Venkateshwar Rao, stated that patriotism and public service are our commitment. So far, 38 police officers and personnel have made the supreme sacrifice in the anti-Naxal operation. He paid tribute to the sacrifice of Inspector Ashish Sharma a few months ago. The state government has approved 882 positions for the Hawk Force. He stated that under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Balaghat, efforts are underway to restore peace in the district with social support.

Balaghat Superintendent of Police, Mr. Aditya Mishra, assured Chief Minister Dr. Yadav that where gunfire used to echo, employment, trust, and education will now be the clarion call. He said that today is a day filled with pride. Youth involved in the fight against Naxalism are being provided government jobs. Under the Vidyanjali Abhiyan, launched by the state government in the field of education, work is underway to transform more than 280 schools in Naxal-affected areas into centers of excellence with social support.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav promoted the jawans from Sub Inspector to Inspector, including Mr. Vipin Chandra Khalko, Mr. Inder Singh Viduri, Mr. Shubham Pratap Singh Tomar, Mr. Ratnesh Meena, Mr. Navdesh Srivastava, Mr. Munendra Singh from Assistant Sub Inspector, Mr. Rudrichand Jakhmola, Mr. Anil Singh Bhadoria, Mr. Matte Singh Maravi, Mr. Ujjwal Ghormare, Mr. Manoj Kumar Yadav, Mr. Devendra Dhurve, Mr. Rawendra Kushwah, Mr. Harendra Singh, Mr. Pradeep Gosai, Mr. Vinod Kumar Merckole, Mr. Umesh Kumar Patel, Mr. Vikash Kumar Rajput, Mr. Mukesh Sagar, Mr. Vivek Parste, Mr. Raghavendra Singh Gurjar, Mr. Ashish Rajak, Mr. Shivhari Maravi, Mr. Praveen Dhurve, Mr. Tikaram Dhakal, Mr. Praveen Kumar, Mr. Asit Yadav, Mr. Ram Ashish Yadav, Mr. Sandeep Sharma, Mr. Lokpal Dhakad, Mr. Krishna Shrestha, Mr. Jitendra Singh Patel and Mr. Veer Singh. were promoted.
