 ‘The state government is committed to preserving the religious and cultural heritage of the state – Minister Shri Rajesh Agarwal’

In Chhattisgarh, under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, the state government is working with unwavering commitment to preserve and promote the state’s rich cultural heritage, religious beliefs, and historical monuments. In this direction, Tourism, Culture, and Religious Affairs Minister Shri Rajesh Agarwal presented a significant gift to the residents of the region by formally performing the groundbreaking ceremony for various religious development projects in the villages of Fulchuhi and Dandgaon in the Udaipur development block of Surguja district.

Minister Shri Rajesh Agarwal performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of stairs and the reconstruction of the temple building for the convenience of devotees at the Panchmukhi hill in the Udaipur development block. He also laid the foundation stone for the construction of a temple in Dandgaon village. These developments will not only provide better facilities to devotees but will also promote religious tourism in the region.
          Minister Shri Agarwal stated that the double-engine government is committed to preserving the state’s cultural heritage and religious traditions. He emphasized that temples are not only centers of worship, but also living symbols of society’s faith, culture, social harmony, and traditions. The state government is continuously working to preserve and equip religious sites to provide a better environment and basic amenities to devotees.

He further stated that under the able guidance of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, the overall development of the state’s religious and cultural sites is being prioritized. The government’s intention is to ensure that the development of religious sites is not limited to construction work alone, but also to integrate them with the local economy, tourism, and employment. The development of temples and religious sites in rural areas will boost local trade, expand tourism activities, and create new employment and self-employment opportunities for youth.

Minister Shri Agarwal stated that the state government is working with the vision of “coordinating heritage preservation and development.” To elevate the state’s cultural identity and religious pride, schemes are being implemented in accordance with public sentiment. He stated that Chhattisgarh’s cultural traditions and religious beliefs are the state’s invaluable heritage, which the government prioritizes preserving and safely passing on to future generations.

He also emphasized that the development of religious sites strengthens social harmony and cultural consciousness. The state government is working to connect people with their traditions and heritage through the development of cultural and religious infrastructure in every village. Residents expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and Minister Rajesh Agrawal for the temple construction and development work, saying these initiatives will strengthen the region’s religious identity and provide a comfortable environment for devotees. Public representatives, administrative officials, employees, and a large number of villagers and devotees were present at the event.
