There is immense potential for innovation for the youth of Bastar, develop the region through innovation: Finance Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary

  • Finance Minister participated in the “Innovation Mahakumbh 1.0” program organized at Shaheed Mahendra Karma University

Addressing the “Innovation Mahakumbh 1.0” event held at Shaheed Mahendra Karma University, Finance Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary stated that the central and state governments are continuously striving for the overall development of the Bastar region. He added that the state government has made several important provisions for Bastar’s development in the budget, which will create new opportunities for the youth.

The Finance Minister stated that as India progresses toward a four trillion dollar economy, there are immense opportunities for the youth of Bastar. He called upon the youth of Bastar to contribute to the region’s development by working innovatively in various activities related to forest products, tourism, art and culture, and agriculture. He stated that the youth of Bastar can play a vital role in building society by becoming economically empowered.

He said that Bastar is moving forward with new hope and a new direction. Welcoming the participation of colleagues associated with Poona Margem in the program, he talked about becoming partners in Bastar’s development. In his address, he shared several inspiring examples of people overcoming adverse circumstances and achieving economic progress through innovation. Sharing his own experiences, Mr. Chaudhary said that he himself left his job and took up agriculture, achieving self-reliance. He advised the youth to set goals and make continuous efforts. He said that “if you become a worshipper of Mother Saraswati, Mother Lakshmi will automatically come with you.” Today’s era is knowledge-based, therefore, the youth should continuously develop their capabilities and skills.

He said that educational institutions teach not only degrees but also discipline. Only through discipline and honest effort is a better future possible. He also stressed the need for youth to develop the ability to take risks in entrepreneurship. During his address, he mentioned the past circumstances of Bastar and his experiences as Collector of Dantewada district, which inspired the youth present. He also praised the university’s program on innovation for the youth of Bastar. Other dignitaries present at the event included Professor Manoj Kumar Srivastava, Vice Chancellor of Shaheed Mahendra Karma University.
