Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that sports hold a special significance in the Indian way of life. Even in the Ramayana and Mahabharata, the importance of sports and exercise in maintaining a healthy body is mentioned in numerous places. Indian culture recognizes that sports are an effective means of maintaining health. As long as sports remain a part of our lifestyle, we will not fall ill. Consequently, a healthy body is considered the ultimate happiness. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav expressed these views while answering questions on a talk show at the Pankh Sports Awards 2026, an award ceremony organized by a private TV channel to encourage sports talent. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the event by lighting a lamp at Hotel Hyatt Place Bansal Plaza, located at Rani Kamlapati Railway Station, and honored the state’s sports talent and those who encourage them.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that a healthy body and a happy mind, along with clarity of purpose and persistent effort, are essential for success. The state government is fully committed to promoting sports and athletes. Sports facilities are being expanded and upgraded in all districts. In response to a question, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that Simhastha is the world’s largest religious fair. Making arrangements for 300 million people in Ujjain, with a population of eight lakh, poses a significant challenge for the state government. With the support of the people of the state, the state government will be successful in organizing Simhastha 2028. He encouraged the public to develop a spiritual perspective in their daily lives. A short film related to the Pankh Sports Award was also screened on this occasion.
