The seven-day photo exhibition organized by the Public Relations Department concluded today at the historic Town Hall at Kachari Chowk in the capital, Raipur. Held from August 15th to 21st, the exhibition received a positive response from citizens, students, and teachers. The exhibition presented in an attractive manner the freedom struggle of Chhattisgarh, the struggle and sacrifice of brave soldiers, the glorious journey of ‘Vande Mataram’ for 150 years, and the state’s journey of development and good governance.
- Connecting the new generation with history

This exhibition showcased rare photographs, historical documents, and important events related to the freedom struggle. Mahatma Gandhi’s stay in Chhattisgarh, the state’s contribution to the freedom movement, and the struggles of the brave fighters were presented through photographs. Students eagerly viewed these photographs and expressed their inspiring experience in seeing the history they had read about in books through photographs.
- The glorious history of 150 years of ‘Vande Mataram’ has attracted attention.
The exhibition featured a special section on the 150-year journey of the national anthem “Vande Mataram.” It showcased its historical significance and its role in awakening national spirit during the freedom movement. Students and youth viewed this section with particular interest.
- AI technology creates new tourism and heritage experiences
The exhibition’s feature, which allowed children and youth to create digital images with backdrops of Chhattisgarh’s tourist and religious sites using AI technology, particularly appealed to them. This experience of connecting with the state’s rich cultural and tourism heritage through modern technology was new and interesting for visitors.
- Knowledge of Chhattisgarh tested through quiz

A quiz based on Chhattisgarh’s history, culture, traditions, tourism, and significant achievements was also held at the exhibition complex. Students and youth participated enthusiastically. The quiz provided entertainment, an opportunity to learn more about their state, and to test their knowledge.

The exhibition also highlighted the state’s development journey. The transformations in people’s lives brought about through programs like the Mahatari Vandan Yojana, the Krishak Unnati Yojana, the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and programs related to education, skill development, employment, and social security were showcased through photographs and informational materials.
Along with the achievements related to empowerment of women, farmers, youth, workers and needy families, a glimpse of Good Governance Festival, Green Chhattisgarh, road and rail connectivity, infrastructure development, investment and new employment opportunities was also seen in the exhibition.

A documentary film chronicling Chhattisgarh’s development journey, achievements, and public welfare schemes was also screened at the exhibition complex. This provided visitors with an opportunity to understand the state’s development work and the impact of these schemes through visuals.

Today, 54 students from the CEJS Shaheed Smarak School, Fafadeep, visited the exhibition. After observing the exhibition, Aishwarya Yadav, Divyanshu Adil, Avantika Singh, Nancy Sahu, and Tina Janghel shared their experiences, saying it was a very interesting and unique experience that will remain unforgettable.

Students and teachers who visited this seven-day exhibition described it as informative and inspiring. They said that through the exhibition they had the opportunity to understand the struggles and sacrifices of the heroes of the freedom struggle, as well as learn about Chhattisgarh’s cultural heritage, tourism, and current development journey. Teachers said that such events are useful in developing a sense of history, patriotism, and pride in their heritage in the new generation.
This seven-day exhibition showcased Chhattisgarh’s glorious past, national spirit, rich heritage, and current development on a single platform.
