A farewell and felicitation ceremony was held at the Police Headquarters for Mr. Malay Jain, a senior police officer posted at the Police Headquarters, on his appointment as Superintendent of Police, Balaghat. On this occasion, Director General of Police Mr. Kailash Makwana honored Mr. Jain by garlanding him and presenting him with a memento and wished him well for the successful discharge of his new responsibility in Balaghat. DGP Mr. Kailash Makwana said that while selecting Mr. Malay Jain as a Staff Officer in December 2024, his honest, hardworking, and controversy-free work behavior was given priority. As a Staff Officer, he effectively managed the regular monitoring and tracking of public hearing applications and the system of immediately rewarding police personnel for outstanding performance.

Sharing his past experiences, DGP Mr. Makwana explained that this district has been a crucial and challenging area for the police. About 32 years ago, the police force faced a lack of communication facilities, long foot patrols in dense forests, and serious threats like landmines. During that period, the police performed their duties under extremely difficult circumstances. He stated that the Naxalite problem in Balaghat has ended today due to the continuous efforts of the police force. Therefore, as the Superintendent of Police of the district, it is an important responsibility to maintain the morale of the police force, maintain vigilance, and sustain its achievements.

While guiding the newly appointed Superintendent of Police, Mr. Malay Jain, DGP Mr. Makwana said, “Listen to everyone, do what is right.” He emphasized that officers should patiently listen to all parties and make fair decisions based on facts and rules. The hallmark of a good police officer is making firm, correct decisions without succumbing to undue pressure and maintaining sensitivity and composure.

At the ceremony, senior officers and staff from Police Headquarters shared their experiences and memories of working with Mr. Malay Jain. Speakers praised his positive work ethic, easygoing demeanor, mature leadership skills, and ability to engage his team. They explained that even in difficult circumstances, Mr. Jain continued to work with a smile, patience, and restraint. Listening sensitively to the problems of the public and complainants, meeting them with ease, and being eager to resolve them were important elements of his work ethic.

While discharging various responsibilities at Police Headquarters, Mr. Jain contributed to important tasks such as media cell and social media management, anti-drug awareness campaign “Drugs Distance Hai Zaroori,” cyber crime awareness campaign “Safe Click,” exhibition of the new judicial code, and public hearings. Senior officers also praised his work experience and administrative efficiency in Sagar, Narmadapuram, Tikamgarh, and Harda districts, as well as as AIG (Administration) and Deputy Director at the Police Academy.

At the end of the function, the officers and employees of the Police Headquarters shared the memories of their tenure with Mr. Malay Jain and wished him a bright future, good health and a successful tenure in Balaghat.
