Farmers are getting support from the National Food Security and Nutrition Mission.

  • Improved maize seeds and agricultural inputs will increase Shubham Dubey’s crop production and income.

With the aim of increasing farmers’ income, reducing farming costs, and encouraging the production of coarse grains, the Agriculture Department is providing advanced agricultural technology, quality seeds, and essential agricultural inputs to farmers under the National Food Security and Nutrition Mission. Through this, continuous efforts are being made to increase crop production and farmers’ income. Through this initiative of the Chhattisgarh government, farmers are getting the benefit of better quality seeds and agricultural inputs, the positive effects of which are visible in the fields.

Farmer Shubham Dubey of Krishnapur village in the Ambikapur development block is also benefiting from the National Food Security and Nutrition Mission and is achieving a good maize harvest. Farmer Shubham Dubey said he cultivated maize on approximately two acres of land. The Agriculture Department provided him with quality maize seeds. He explained that the good quality of the seeds resulted in improved plant growth and the crop’s condition in the field is also quite good.

Shubham Dubey explained that providing fertilizer along with the seeds provided the crop with the necessary nutrition, which resulted in positive results in plant growth and crop quality. He also used a weed control agent recommended by the Agriculture Department. This effectively controlled the weeds and allowed the maize crop to grow well. Timely weed control improved the crop’s condition, and the maize crop is poised to be ready on time.

Farmer Shubham Dubey said that the maize crop in his field is growing with good quality and he is very excited about the production. The early harvest of the maize crop will give him the opportunity to sell the produce in the market at a better time. He explained that previously he used to cultivate other vegetables in his field, but was not able to achieve the expected production and income. After cultivating maize, he expects to see better results in both production and income. This has increased his confidence and enthusiasm for farming.

Expressing gratitude for the quality seeds and fertilizers provided by the Agriculture Department, he said that the department’s support has helped him achieve a better harvest. He explained that maize farming will increase his income and contribute to improving his family’s financial situation.

Farmer Shubham Dubey expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai and the Chhattisgarh government, saying that providing quality seeds and essential agricultural inputs to farmers through the Agriculture Department is giving farming a new direction. He said that he expects good production and better income from maize cultivation. He thanked the Agriculture Department and the Chhattisgarh government for their support and schemes implemented in the interest of farmers.

The National Food Security and Nutrition Mission (NFSM) focuses on increasing crop production by providing farmers with quality seeds, fertilizers, and technical guidance. The scheme helps farmers adopt high-yield crops alongside traditional farming. Shubham Dubey’s maize crop is an example of this, where, with the support of the Agriculture Department, quality seeds, improved coordination of nutrient management and weed control have strengthened the crop’s health. This not only increases production but also paves the way for increased farmer income.
