Governor Shri Ramen Deka hoisted the national flag and took the salute at the parade at Lok Bhavan this morning on the occasion of Independence Day. He inspected the parade. The First Lady of the state, Smt. Rani Deka Kakoti, was also present on the occasion.

The Governor extended Independence Day greetings and best wishes to the officers and employees of the Lok Bhavan Secretariat. He cordially met with the families and children of Lok Bhavan employees and distributed toffees and sweets to the children.
The Governor’s Secretary, Dr. C.R. Prasanna, Legal Advisor Smt. Satyabhama Ajay Dubey, Deputy Secretary Ms. Nidhi Sahu, along with all the officers and employees of Lok Bhavan were present on the occasion.
- Governor flagged off mobile ambulances:

Governor Shri Ramen Deka flagged off six mobile ambulances from Lok Bhavan on the occasion of Independence Day. These ambulances were donated to the Indian Red Cross Society under the CSR initiative of the Maharatna company REC. These ambulances will provide free service in the Jashpur, Surajpur, and Balrampur districts of northern Chhattisgarh.
