- Vice President Shri Ganesh Shankar Mishra hoisted the flag, officers and employees took a pledge to build a developed Chhattisgarh.
The State Policy Commission, Chhattisgarh, celebrated its 80th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and dignity today. On this occasion, the Commission’s Vice Chairman, Shri Ganesh Shankar Mishra, hoisted the national flag and saluted it. Commission Member Dr. Subramanian, Member Secretary Shri Ashish Kumar Bhatt, along with officers and employees were present at the ceremony. This year, the celebrations gained further significance as the national song “Vande Mataram” completed its glorious 150th anniversary.
On this occasion, Vice President Shri Ganesh Shankar Mishra said that August 15th is not just a date, but a symbol of national pride, sacrifice, and self-respect. The free environment we breathe today is the result of the sacrifice, penance, and supreme sacrifice of countless freedom fighters. We must always remember their struggles and ideals and move forward on the path shown by them. He said that attaining independence was a historic achievement, but today we have a huge responsibility to transform this freedom into prosperity. The true tribute to the freedom fighters would be to work together to build a strong, self-reliant, and developed nation, in which the benefits of development reach every citizen at the bottom of society.
Vice Chairman Mr. Mishra stated that the State Policy Commission is playing a crucial and guiding role in achieving the national resolve of “Developed India by 2047.” The Commission is continuously working towards building a developed Chhattisgarh by providing direction to the state’s policies, plans, and development goals. He stated that the participation and dedication of every officer and employee of the Commission is essential to fulfilling this important responsibility.
He called upon officers and employees to imbibe the ideals of freedom fighters and contribute to nation-building with complete loyalty, honesty, and dedication. He expressed confidence that with collective resolve and sustained efforts, the goal of a developed and prosperous Chhattisgarh by 2047 can certainly be achieved.
Commission member Dr. Subramanian said that we must always remember our rights as well as our duties. A balance between rights and duties is essential for building a strong and developed nation. This is the hallmark of true civic duty.
Member Secretary Mr. Ashish Kumar Bhatt, while paying tribute to the sacrifices of freedom fighters, said that everyone should contribute their best in the journey towards a prosperous and developed Chhattisgarh. He urged the Commission’s officers and employees to discharge their duties with complete loyalty and dedication.
To mark the 150th anniversary of the national song “Vande Mataram,” the officers and employees present at the ceremony sang “Vande Mataram” collectively. During the ceremony, everyone pledged to work dedicatedly for the nation’s development and the prosperity of a developed Chhattisgarh. The program concluded with the national anthem.
