- Information about health services available to pregnant women, sickle cell patients and children
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav observed from the sub health center located in a remote rural area during his trip to Barwani district on Friday. He reviewed the health facilities available in the center and inquired in detail about the health services being provided to the villagers.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav obtained information from the Community Health Officer regarding the number of pregnant women in the area, health services being provided to them and regular health check-ups. He also inquired about the identification of high risk pregnant women (HRP) and their health monitoring. Along with this, the number of patients affected by sickle cell in this area and the status of their treatment and health monitoring were also asked.
During the observation Chief Minister Dr. Yadav reviewed the health map prepared by Antara Foundation. Through the map, the health information related to pregnant women, high risk pregnant women (HRP) and children in the area is displayed through points. Similarly, the status of sickle cell patients and malnutrition has also been marked on the map, thereby facilitating regular health monitoring and provision of necessary services to the concerned beneficiaries.
Chief Minister Dr. Taking note of this initiative, Yadav emphasized on providing timely health facilities to the needy people through mapping of health services.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also inquired about the health related information at the center and the entry being made on the Anmol portal. He inquired about health services related to pregnant women and children, vaccination status and medicines available at the centre.
The Community Health Officer told the Chief Minister that the necessary health related information is being entered on the portal regularly. All necessary medicines are available at the center on time and there is no problem in providing health services to the villagers.
- Availability of health facilities in rural areas is a priority of the state government
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also informed about the health related work being done under Green Commando Mission in remote rural areas of Pati area of Barwani district. He appreciated the efforts being made to increase access to health services in rural and remote areas.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that ensuring availability of health services in remote rural areas is the priority of the government. Special attention should be given to regular identification and health monitoring of pregnant women, children, sickle cell affected patients and malnourished children.
