A Grand Tricolor Yatra was organized in Khaknar with the aim of spreading the spirit of national love and unity to the masses under the “Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan”. A large number of citizens enthusiastically participated in the Yatra with the tricolor in their hands. This yatra started from the Government Excellent School and ended near the Police Station Khaknar with the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Tricolor Yatra was also organized at other places in the region. Nepanagar MLA Ms. Manju Dadu, District Panchayat President Mr. Gangaram Marko, local public representatives, regional officials and a large number of citizens and school students participated in the Tiranga Yatra. The atmosphere of the area was full of patriotism with flags waving in hands and slogans of patriotism.
During the journey, the students also wore the costumes of brave freedom fighters and brave warriors of the country. Through the Tricolor Yatra, the message of hoisting the tricolor at every house, respecting the national flag and strengthening the unity and integrity of the nation was conveyed. On this occasion MLA Ms. Manju Dadu said that the tricolor is the symbol of India’s glory, honor and pride. “Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan” is a campaign to strengthen the sense of patriotism, unity and pride within every citizen. He called upon the residents of the area to hoist the Tricolor at their homes on Independence Day and make this campaign a public campaign.
Students and citizens in the area participated in large numbers and made an attractive human chain and made the objective of “Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan” worthwhile. In this connection, awareness rally and essay competition was also organized in Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Government College.
