Women are getting the strength of self-reliance through Mahatari Vandan Yojana, makeup business gets a new boost

The Mahtari Vandan Yojana, implemented by the Chhattisgarh government to empower women economically and make them self-reliant, is bringing positive change in their lives. Under the scheme, eligible women are provided financial assistance of ₹1,000 per month. This amount not only meets women’s needs but also helps them grow their small businesses.

Mrs. Moni Sahu, a resident of Kharkhod village under the Pamgarh project in Janjgir-Champa district, is taking advantage of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana to expand her cosmetics business. She runs a cosmetics shop in the village and uses the funds received from the scheme to purchase essential items for the shop.

Mrs. Moni Sahu explains that she uses the monthly 1,000 rupees she receives from the Mahatari Vandan Yojana to purchase bangles, bindis, and other cosmetics. This helps her store keep the goods she needs according to customer needs, and her business continues to thrive. The financial assistance from the scheme has strengthened her small business and boosted her confidence in becoming self-reliant.

Mrs. Moni Sahu said that the Mahatari Vandan Yojana has become a means of economic support for women. She is utilizing the assistance provided by the scheme in her business, which is helping to strengthen her income. She expressed her gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai for implementing the scheme for women’s economic empowerment.
