- Youth took oath to build a healthy society
Colleges across the country are increasingly organizing special events, such as rallies, pledges, and street plays, to raise awareness among students as part of the Drug-Free India Campaign. These campaigns are receiving widespread enthusiasm to promote the message of keeping the young generation away from drugs and building a healthy society.
Under the “Drug-Free Youth for a Developed India” campaign, seven major colleges in Dhamtari district held drug de-addiction awareness programs. Under this special 100-week campaign, hundreds of students delivered an effective message against drug abuse to society through street plays, rallies, and various competitions.

Simultaneous programs were organized at the district’s BCS Government Postgraduate College, Dhamtari, Government Postgraduate College, Kurud, Government Girls College, Dhamtari, Sukhram Nage Government College, Nagari, Government College, Amdi, Chhattisgarh Mahatari College, Bhakhara, and Yashwant Rao Meghawale Government College, Magarlod. Students in the age group of 15 to 29 years highlighted the ill effects of drug addiction through their creativity in street plays, awareness rallies, painting, slogan writing, essay writing, and speech competitions.

The District Youth Officer, while inspiring the youth, said that youth power is the driving force behind the country’s future. Only if young people adopt a drug-free and healthy lifestyle will the vision of a “developed India” be realized. The primary objective of this campaign is to inspire youth in a positive direction and make them brand ambassadors of drug de-addiction in society.
The campaign was held simultaneously in seven colleges in the district: Dhamtari, Kurud, Nagari, Amdi, Bhakhara, and Magarlod. The successful operation was led by the professors in charge of “Mera Yuva Bharat” and campus ambassadors. On this occasion, students took a pledge to stay away from drugs and raise awareness in society.
