The newly appointed Collector of Gariaband district, Mr. Ranbir Sharma, assumed charge from the outgoing Collector, Mr. B.S. Uike, at the district office this morning. During the ceremony, the outgoing Collector, Mr. Uike, presented a bouquet of flowers to the newly appointed Collector, congratulating and wishing him well on his new assignment. It is noteworthy that Mr. Sharma, a 2012 batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the 14th Collector of Gariaband district. Previously, Mr. Sharma served as the Director of Social Welfare. During the inauguration, district-level officials and employees welcomed Mr. Sharma with a bouquet of flowers. The Collector held an introductory discussion with the officials present and took general information about ongoing work in the district.
On this occasion, Collector Mr. Sharma discussed with the officials about accelerating the district’s development, stating that 100% and optimal implementation of government schemes would be his priority. The public will benefit from the government’s public welfare schemes in the district. District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Mr. Prakhar Chandrakar, Additional Collector Mrs. Risha Thakur, Mr. Naveen Bhagat, all SDMs, and officials from all departments were present during the swearing-in ceremony. Following this, Collector Mr. Sharma held an introductory meeting with departmental officials in the meeting hall of the district office.
