The central government’s PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme is becoming a means of electricity savings and energy self-sufficiency for the people of Dantewada district. Inspired by Vishnu Bhaiya’s government’s scheme, “A Gift for Sisters’ Prosperity,” Dantewada resident Mrs. Prafulla Devi Netam installed a 6-kilowatt solar rooftop plant on her home.
- Loan taken from bank, subsidy received
Encouraged by the Vishnubhaiya government’s scheme, “A Gift to Sisters’ Prosperity,” Mrs. Prafulla Devi Netam revealed that she has taken a bank loan of approximately 4 lakh rupees to install a solar plant. She has been approved for a subsidy of 1 lakh 8 thousand rupees under the scheme. After completing the necessary procedures, the subsidy amount will be credited directly to her bank account. She explained that due to government assistance and easy loan facilities, installing a solar plant has become much easier than before.
- There will be savings in electricity bill
Mrs. Netam explained that under the PM Surya Ghar Yojana, eligible consumers can install solar plants by taking out a loan from a bank. This eliminates the need for a large outlay. Meeting electricity needs with solar energy results in savings on electricity bills, which also helps with loan repayment. She appealed to the district’s residents to learn about the PM Surya Ghar Yojana and take advantage of it. She said that adopting solar energy not only reduces electricity bills but also contributes to environmental protection.
