Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai Visits Sports Photo Exhibition and Unveils Coffee Table Book ‘Humare Khiladi’

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai visited a special photo exhibition highlighting Chhattisgarh’s rich sporting history and the achievements of its players and unveiled the coffee table book ‘Humare Khiladi’ during the State Sports Awards Ceremony held at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in Raipur on the occasion of National Sports Day.

Chief Minister Shri Sai viewed photographs and information depicting the lives, struggles, achievements and contributions of Chhattisgarh’s sporting personalities. He appreciated the initiative to introduce the state’s sporting history and the achievements of its players to the younger generation.

The special sports exhibition showcases the lives and contributions of several prominent sporting personalities of Chhattisgarh, including Shaheed Rajiv Pandey, Shaheed Pankaj Vikram, Shaheed Kaushal Yadav and Shaheed Vinod Choubey, through photographs and interesting information. The life, sporting journey and remarkable contribution of Veer Hanuman Singh have also been prominently featured.

The exhibition effectively traces the journey of the state’s sporting talent from struggle to success. Along with their achievements, it highlights inspiring episodes from players’ lives that can encourage the younger generation to take up sports and strive for excellence.

On the occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai also unveiled the coffee table book ‘Humare Khiladi’. The book features profiles, sporting journeys, major achievements and contributions of players who have brought recognition to Chhattisgarh at the national and international levels, accompanied by photographs. Besides documenting their accomplishments, the publication will serve as an important medium for introducing the younger generation to Chhattisgarh’s rich sporting heritage.

The photo exhibition and coffee table book ‘Humare Khiladi’ have been prepared jointly by the Sports and Youth Welfare Department and the Public Relations Department. The initiative brings together Chhattisgarh’s sporting history, its celebrated sporting personalities and the achievements of contemporary players on a common platform.
