Upon receiving information that Shri Ganesh pandals were being erected on the road near the Telibandha Overbridge and the Telibandha Jaitkhamb (within the Municipal Corporation Zone 3 area), Zone 3 Commissioner Smt. Preeti Singh and other officials visited the sites. They held discussions with the office-bearers of the Shri Ganesh committees, advised them against setting up pandals on the road, and instructed them to obtain the necessary permissions and adhere to the rules and directives issued by the state government.

  • The officials also requested information regarding the No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the committee office-bearers.

Acting on the instructions of Raipur Municipal Corporation Commissioner Shri Sambit Mishra, Zone 3 Commissioner Smt. Preeti Singh—accompanied by Executive Engineer Shri Ishwar Lal Tavre, Assistant Engineer Shri Naresh Kumar Sahu, Sub-Engineer Shri Akshay Bhardwaj, and officials from the Police Commissionerate—visited the sites immediately after learning about the pandals being set up on the road near the Telibandha Overbridge and Telibandha Jaitkhamb. They discussed the matter with the office-bearers of the respective Shri Ganesh Utsav committees and advised them not to erect the pandals on the road.

Zone 3 Commissioner Smt. Preeti Singh advised the committee office-bearers against setting up the pandals on the road and instructed them to strictly comply with the rules and guidelines laid down by the NGT (National Green Tribunal), the state government, and the district administration regarding the installation of such pandals. The Zone 3 officials and Police Commissionerate representatives asked the committee office-bearers for details regarding the mandatory No Objection Certificate (NOC) required for setting up the pandal on the road and directed them to follow the prescribed administrative procedures.
