- Tourism and Culture Minister plants saplings in Kunwarpur; calls for public participation in the pledge to conserve the environment.
Tourism and Culture Minister Shri Rajesh Agrawal participated in a tree plantation program held today at Kunwarpur, Lakhanpur, conveying a message of environmental conservation and the promotion of greenery. By planting a sapling during the event, he urged the public to step forward for environmental conservation and plant as many trees as possible. Speaking on the occasion, he remarked that trees and plants are not merely a means to enhance nature’s beauty but are essential for a healthy and secure life.
Minister Shri Agrawal stated that a sapling planted today is a priceless gift from us to future generations. Conserving the environment is not solely the government’s responsibility but the duty of every individual in society. Along with planting saplings, we must also pledge to protect and nurture them. Only when every individual, through public participation, fulfills the responsibility of increasing greenery in their surroundings can we create a clean, beautiful, and balanced environment.
He emphasized that maintaining environmental balance is a collective responsibility in the current times. Rising temperatures, erratic rainfall, and changing environmental patterns signal the need for us to understand our responsibilities towards nature with greater seriousness. In this context, planting and protecting as many trees as possible is the need of the hour.
- Pledge to Protect Along with Planting
Minister Shri Agrawal urged the citizens present at the event not to limit themselves to merely planting saplings but to ensure the regular care of every plant planted. He noted that it takes many years for a sapling to grow into a tree; therefore, protecting and nurturing it is just as important as the act of planting itself.
He stated that our goal should not merely be to increase the number of plants but to cultivate trees that provide clean air, shade, and a better environment to society in the years to come. If every family pledges to plant at least one sapling and take responsibility for it, a significant change can be brought about in the direction of environmental conservation. Collective Effort Needed to Increase Green Cover
The event held in Kunwarpur not only raised awareness among local citizens about environmental conservation but also conveyed a message of collective participation. Public representatives and citizens present at the event participated in a tree-planting drive, reinforcing their resolve to increase greenery and protect the environment.
Minister Mr. Agrawal stated that nature sustains us, and now it is our turn to fulfill our obligations towards it. Let us all join hands to make our villages, cities, and districts greener. Providing clean air, a pure environment, and a better quality of life to future generations is our greatest responsibility.
He urged citizens to plant trees in their homes, fields, schools, public spaces, and other available areas, and to ensure the regular care of the saplings planted. He remarked that an environmental conservation campaign driven by public participation would undoubtedly yield far-reaching results.
