Talented players Khaidem Shilima Chanu and Krishna Sharma of Madhya Pradesh State Women’s Hockey Academy have made Madhya Pradesh proud by performing brilliantly at the international level. Both players represented the Indian Junior Women’s Hockey Team in the AHF Women’s Junior Asia Cup- 2026 held in China. The Indian team won the title with a brilliant performance and with this achievement became the champion of Asia for the third time in a row. Here , the Indian Junior Men’s team also won the Men’s Junior Asia Cup 2026 title by defeating South Korea 4-1 in the final.
- India made history by defeating China 1-0 in the final
In the final match played on Sunday, the Indian team defeated the host China 1-0 in a tight and exciting match. In the match, India put up a strong defensive display, playing with composure and discipline from the start. India took the lead in the 17th minute by converting the chance into a goal , which the team maintained until the end of the match. China made continuous efforts to equalize in the second half , but the Indian defense showed great coordination and vigilance and did not give the hosts any chance to score. At the final whistle, India maintained a 1-0 lead and clinched the title.

Great performance by Indian Women’s Junior Asia Cup- 2026 . In the elite pool stage, India won three matches , while the match against China ended in a goalless draw. After this, India defeated Pakistan 19-0 in the quarter-finals and entered the semi-finals. In the semi-final match, the Indian team defeated South Korea 5-1 and qualified for the final. India continued their unbeaten campaign in the tournament by defeating China 1-0 in the title match and captured the trophy for the third time in a row.

After 2023 and 2024 , India also won the Women’s Junior Asia Cup in 2026 . In this way the Indian team achieved the achievement of winning three consecutive titles in the competition. With the title win, India has also qualified for the FIH Junior Women’s World Cup.
