Thanks to the prompt action of the Health Department and the dedicated efforts of doctors, a 5-year-old Baiga boy suffering from severe pneumonia in Para Tendapani, a remote forest village in Dengurjam, has found a new lease on life. Thanks to timely diagnosis and optimal treatment, the boy has now fully recovered and returned home.
During a health check-up in Para Tendapani, a village under the Gram Panchayat Amaniya in the Pandaria development block, the boy was found to be suffering from severe pneumonia and breathing difficulties. Seeing the child’s critical condition, BMO Dr. Janakisharan Chandravanshi immediately took the boy, along with his parents, to the Pandaria Community Health Center and admitted him for treatment.
Under the direction of Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. D.K. Turre, door-to-door health check-ups are being conducted to provide healthcare services to Baiga families in forest areas. The boy’s illness was identified during this campaign.
At the Community Health Center, the boy received intensive treatment for 15 days under the guidance of pediatrician Dr. Kunal Bisen and regular monitoring by BMO Dr. Chandravanshi. After treatment, the child was discharged from the hospital on October 31st in a completely healthy condition.
The parents and relatives are overjoyed with the child’s return home healthy. The family expressed gratitude for the promptness of the doctors, the excellent treatment, and the support of the health department. Under the guidance of CMHO Dr. D.K. Turre, the health department is conducting door-to-door health checkups in remote forest areas and special backward tribal areas of the district. Its objective is to identify diseases in time and provide immediate treatment to needy patients. The health department is continuously making efforts to provide quality health facilities to the last mile.
