  • Knowledge of digital technology is a powerful medium to make rural youth self-reliant and connect them with new opportunities: Chief Minister Shri Sai

During his visit to Jashpur today, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai flagged off a ‘Digital Transforming Van’ from the premises of the rest house. This initiative, operated by the NIIT Foundation in collaboration with Indus Towers, aims to expand digital education and skill development opportunities across the district’s rural and remote regions. Through this, the effort will focus on connecting rural children, youth, women, and other citizens with modern digital technology, thereby making them technically proficient and self-reliant.

Commending the initiative, Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that in today’s era, digital literacy is not limited to mere technical knowledge; rather, it has become the foundation for new opportunities in education, employment, self-employment, and self-reliance. He emphasized the critical need to ensure that citizens in rural and remote areas have access to modern technology and digital education. He added that such initiatives will play a vital role in connecting rural youth and women to the digital world while fostering their skill development.

Chief Minister Shri Sai inspected the ‘Digital Transforming Van’ and inquired about the modern digital facilities and training arrangements available within it. He even participated in an online conference call using the digital equipment installed inside the van. Praising the joint effort by the NIIT Foundation and Indus Towers, the Chief Minister described it as a commendable step toward digital empowerment in rural areas. One-Month Free Digital Training to be Offered in Jashpur Villages

A ‘Digital Transforming Van’ will travel to various villages in the Jashpur development block to provide free digital education and skill development training to citizens aged 12 to 60. A special one-month training program will be conducted, covering essential topics such as digital literacy, cybersecurity, and basic IT.

Through this training, rural residents will gain practical knowledge on using computers and digital devices, the fundamentals of the internet, and the safe and effective use of digital technology. This initiative will help increase digital awareness in rural areas, foster technical skills, and bridge the digital divide.

  • A Significant Initiative to Digitally Empower Rural Areas

The ‘Digital Transforming Van’ will function as a mobile training center, eliminating the need for rural residents to travel to distant urban hubs to access digital education. In particular, children, youth, and women in rural areas will have the opportunity to receive modern technical training right in their own vicinity.

The program was attended by several public representatives, including Jashpur MLA Smt. Raimuni Bhagat, Municipal Council President Shri Arvind Bhagat, Shri Prabal Pratap Singh Judev, Zila Panchayat Vice-President Shri Shaurya Pratap Singh Judev, and Shri Sunil Gupta. Also present on the occasion were Shri Purnendu Hooda (National Head, NIIT Foundation), Project Coordinator Shri Jitendra Rathore, Shri Rajnish (representative from Indus Towers), and members of the NIIT Foundation’s Jashpur team.
