Malaria’s grip in Chhattisgarh was decisively broken.

The Bastar region, known for its dense forests and remote areas, has always faced a tough challenge in combating diseases like malaria. However, recent changes have been observed in the situation. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai has directed the state’s health department to take proactive steps in preventing diseases like malaria, especially considering the rainy weather. These directives have resulted in a significant decrease in malaria cases across the state, including Bastar, which is a major achievement. In line with the Chief Minister’s directive to expedite efforts towards malaria eradication during this rainy season, Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jayaswal is currently on a tour of the Bijapur district.

61.99% of Chhattisgarh’s total malaria cases come from Dantewada, Bijapur, and Narayanpur. These districts have seen increased activity from the health department and the Chief Minister’s directives have played a crucial role in this. The efforts to combat malaria in these regions have been intensified, and the government is taking proactive measures to ensure the well-being of the residents. The focus on malaria eradication is a top priority, and the government is committed to making significant progress in this regard to improve the overall health situation in the state.
