Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai met with the mountain climber Sushri Nishu Singh of Bilaspur district. Sushri Nishu, who has conquered many major mountain peaks in the country and abroad, hoisted the tricolor at 26,200 feet of the world’s highest peak Mount Everest on May 21, 2024. Chief Minister Shri Sai congratulated her and said that your magnificent achievement has also honored Chhattisgarh. This will also inspire emerging mountaineers.
Sushri Nishu explained that during the ascent of Mount Everest, she had to face many serious challenges. Repeatedly bad weather, snowfall, low oxygen levels, and cold winds tested her, but her high spirits did not waver. Finally, she made her dream come true and hoisted the tricolor at 26,200 feet of Mount Everest, showing her strong courage and determination.
