The two-day Buyer-Seller Meet 2026, held at a private hotel in Naya Raipur, received an overwhelming response from the state’s Bihan women’s groups and their FPOs, boosting their morale. Organized by the Panchayat and Rural Development Department, the Buyer-Seller Meet was held on January 20 and 21 at a private hotel in Naya Raipur. During the meet, several agreements were reached between the buyers and representatives of the women’s groups regarding the quantity, quality, and marketing of their products.

In addition to Chhattisgarh, buyers from other states also attended this meet, who not only appreciated the products of Bihan’s women’s groups, but also finalized a deal to supply 2 lakh 13 thousand metric tons of 11 types of products. These 11 products mainly include organic rice such as Vishnu Bhog, Dev Bhog, Jawaphool, Jeeraphool, various types of spices, chana dal (gram flour), urad dal, kodo-kutki, and tikhur.
During the two-day State-Level Buyer-Seller Meet 2026, Bihan groups provided detailed information to buyers about their products, quantities, and quality. Buyers also informed the groups about their demands. Several agreements were reached between buyers and sellers regarding orders and supplies.

Organized in collaboration with the Chhattisgarh State Rural Livelihoods Mission, Bihan, AFC India Limited, and Pradaan, the business dialogue and meeting were not only fruitful but also yielded very encouraging results. Women’s groups and FPOs have found renewed enthusiasm in increasing the volume of their products.
On this occasion, Principal Secretary of the Panchayat and Rural Development Department, Ms. Niharika Barik Singh, visited the stalls of women self-help groups and women-led FPOs from all districts of the state and praised the quality, packaging, presentation and innovation of the products. She said that the women group didis are not limited to production only, but are moving forward with confidence by understanding the market demand. While interacting with the buyers, she assured that in the near future, both the quantity and quality of the products of women groups will be further improved to meet the demand of national and international markets.

On this occasion, Mr. Ashwini Dewangan, Mission Director of Bihan, said that the Buyer-Seller Meet 2026 is a historic occasion, providing women FPOs and SHGs with real and sustainable market opportunities through direct interaction with buyers. This event will prove to be a milestone in women’s empowerment, self-reliance, and livelihood enhancement in Chhattisgarh.
