Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Madhya Pradesh is continuously receiving significant gifts in every sector. Over the past 11 years, our state, along with the entire country, is transforming. The state government has declared 2026 as the Farmer Welfare Year. Numerous farmer-friendly decisions will be taken throughout the year. The state government has undertaken the task of providing irrigation water to every farm. Prime Minister Shri Modi launched the Ken-Betwa River Linking Campaign in Bundelkhand. Upon completion of this project, farmers in several districts of the region will experience flourishing crops. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that the state government is leaving no stone unturned in the state’s progress. In the Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday, ₹215.47 crore was approved for two irrigation projects in Narmadapuram district. This presents a unique gift to the farmers and local tribal brothers and sisters of the Sohagpur and Pipariya areas.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing a felicitation ceremony held at the Chief Minister’s residence on Tuesday evening. On this occasion, Sohagpur MLA Shri Vijaypal Singh thanked Chief Minister Dr. Yadav for the gifts bestowed upon the residents of the region. Party officials, local residents, and displaced tribal families from Sohagpur extended a warm welcome to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh’s annual budget has now reached ₹421,000 crore. Our government is committed to accelerating industrial development in the state, and its positive results are now visible on the ground. The Babai-Mohasa Industrial Area is being developed in Narmadapuram district. This will create employment opportunities for the youth of Sohagpur-Pipariya and surrounding areas in the near future. The state government is moving forward on the path of development while preserving heritage. Public-friendly decisions have been taken for the welfare of the poor, farmers, youth, and women of the state. By holding a cabinet meeting in the famous tourist destination of Pachmarhi, we commemorated the region’s pride, Raja Bhabhut Singh. Similarly, many important decisions have been taken in cabinet meetings in places like Indore, Khajuraho, and Gwalior.

MLA Shri Vijaypal Singh said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, every corner of Madhya Pradesh is being equipped with irrigation facilities. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav fulfilled his promise to the people of the Sohagpur Assembly constituency, and today the Cabinet approved two important irrigation projects worth approximately ₹226 crore for the welfare of the area. He said that the Bagra Branch Canal Hose Irrigation Project of the Tawa Project (Right Bank Canal) will irrigate 4,200 hectares of agricultural land in 33 villages of Babai and Sohagpur tehsils. Meanwhile, the Piparia Branch Canal Hose Irrigation Project from the Right Bank Canal of the Tawa Project will provide sufficient water for irrigation to 6,000 hectares of agricultural land. Thirty villages in Sohagpur tehsil will benefit from both projects. The tribal communities living around the Satpura Tiger Reserve will benefit the most, providing them with clean drinking water and irrigation facilities.
