The public welfare schemes implemented under Vishnudev Sai’s leadership in Chhattisgarh are now bringing positive changes to people’s lives at the grassroots level. A living example of this is Gayatri Bai, a resident of Semra Gram Panchayat, Gaurela District Panchayat, whose life has now completely transformed.
Once forced to live in a dilapidated mud house, Gayatri Bai and her family faced hardships in every season. The roof leaked during rains, the walls were weak, and family members lived in constant fear of insecurity. Due to their poor financial situation, building a permanent house remained an unfulfilled dream.
However, the Vishnudev Sai government’s policy of providing housing for poor and needy families, a priority, gave her life a new direction. In 2024-25, Gayatri Bai was selected as a beneficiary under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin) and was approved for a grant of ₹120,000. With
this government support and her own hard work, Gayatri Bai gradually began building her dream home. The constant guidance and support from the village panchayat and district level facilitated this process. Within a few months, their permanent, safe, and beautiful home was ready.
Now, Gayatri Bai and her family live a dignified life in a safe and clean home, without any hassles, in all seasons. The children also have access to a better environment, laying the foundation for their bright future.
Gayatri Bai says emotionally, “This scheme of the Sai government has changed our lives. Before, we lived in constant fear and worry, but now we have our own safe home.”
The Vishnudev Sai government’s public welfare schemes are not only providing facilities to the people, but also bringing dignity, security, and self-confidence into their lives.
