- 51 women got practical knowledge of small scale industry
The “Disha Darshan Tour” scheme, initiated and guided by Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwade, is effectively advancing the economic empowerment of women. In this context, approximately 51 women from Surajpur district, affiliated with various women’s self-help groups, arrived in Raipur on a study tour.

During the visit, the women observed the soy processing plant in Raipur-Kharora and thoroughly understood the processes of production, processing, packaging, and marketing. The training instilled in the women a new confidence in self-employment, and they expressed their desire to establish small-scale plants in their areas.

On this occasion, Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwade herself was present at the plant premises and directly interacted with the women, encouraging them. She said that the state government is constantly striving to empower women with self-reliance, and that excursions like this provide them with practical experience, which inspires them to pursue entrepreneurship.
Minister Smt. Rajwade stated that interested women self-help groups will be provided every possible support to establish small-scale industries such as soy processing. She directed officials to connect trained women with schemes and provide them with financial assistance, technical guidance, and marketing facilities.

She also said that through self-help groups, women are not only becoming economically empowered but are also becoming an inspiration for other women by playing a leadership role in the society. Minister Smt. Rajwade said that through Disha Darshan Yatra Yojana, the state government is empowering women by providing them knowledge, skills and opportunities and leading them towards self-reliance.
