- Bhajan Sandhya enthralled the audience at Jwaleshwar Mahadev Temple premises, with thousands of devotees attending.
On the occasion of completion of 1000 years of Somnath Swabhiman festival, a symbol of unwavering faith, Sanatan culture and national pride, a grand Bhajan Sandhya and religious event was organized by the Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district administration on Monday at the Jwaleshwar Mahadev temple complex located at Tawadbara in the development block Gaurela. MLA Shri Pranav Kumar Marpachchi, District Panchayat President Ms. Samira Paikra, District Panchayat Vice President Raja Upendra Bahadur Singh along with many public representatives and a large number of devotees were present in the program.
The MLA and the Collector prayed to Jwalaeshwar Mahadev for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of the people of the district. The huge presence of devotees in the temple premises filled the event with spiritual energy and devotion. Somnath Swabhiman Parv is considered a symbol of India’s eternal tradition, cultural consciousness and self-respect. Keeping this sentiment in mind, a wonderful confluence of devotion and patriotism was seen in the Bhajan Sandhya organized. Famous Bhajan singers Sajan Pathak, Meenakshi Keshwani and Kirti Kusro enthralled the devotees by giving a captivating presentation of Bhajans filled with Shiva devotion. The devotees kept dancing to the devotional music that continued till late night and the entire temple premises kept resonating with the chants of “Har-Har Mahadev”.
On this occasion, Collector of Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, Dr. Santosh Kumar Dewangan, while highlighting the glorious history of the Somnath Temple, the strength of Sanatan culture, and the integrity of Indian civilization, said that the Somnath Swabhiman Parv is not merely a religious event, but a living symbol of our cultural heritage, faith, and national pride. He said that such events further strengthen religious consciousness, social harmony, and cultural unity in society.
The devotees were particularly enthusiastic during the event. Filled with messages of devotion, culture, and social unity, the event became an unforgettable spiritual experience for the residents of the region.
