The state government’s sensitive initiative and commitment to ensuring uninterrupted electricity supply to remote areas has brought light back to the lives of Mr. Siyaram Markam, a resident of Tumakhurd village in the Gangrel submergence area of Dhamtari district. His family had been suffering for a long time due to the breakdown of their solar home lighting system, which they had installed years ago. The loss of electricity and fan services during this intense summer season had made daily life difficult.
In line with the state government’s vision, it is being ensured that electricity remains available even in remote and inaccessible areas, ensuring that people do not face unnecessary hardship during the harsh summer months. In keeping with this sensitive approach, CREDA’s technical staff responded promptly upon learning of the problem, repaired the solar home lighting system, installed a new battery, and restarted it.
With the system back in operation, Mr. Markam’s home was illuminated again. Now, his home is illuminated at night, and the restoration of fan service has brought relief to the family from the heat. This facility has brought great relief to this family living in the remote submergence area.
Expressing his happiness, Mr. Siyaram Markam said that he had been troubled by this problem for a long time, but now his family has received great relief and normal life has returned to their home. It
is noteworthy that through various electricity and solar energy-based schemes, including the Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojana (Saubhagya), the state government is continuously striving to ensure reliable and sustainable energy access for even the most marginalized families. Solar-based power systems in remote areas are an important part of this vision.
This initiative demonstrates that the state government’s priority is not only to provide electricity, but also to ensure its continuous availability, so that every home is illuminated and people’s lives are made easier.
