- ‘Good Governance Festival: Despite the scorching heat, thousands of villagers availed the benefits of welfare schemes’
Unprecedented enthusiasm of the villagers was seen in the Samadhan camp organized in Kutru of Bijapur district under the Good Governance Festival of Chhattisgarh Government. Thousands of villagers, not caring about the intense heat and scorching sun, reached the camp to get their problems resolved quickly and to avail the benefits of public welfare schemes. While addressing, District Panchayat President Smt. Janaki Korsa motivated people to take maximum benefit of various schemes of the government. She gave detailed information about public welfare schemes like Mahatari Vandan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, paddy purchase at support price and tendu leaf collection.
A large number of villagers from dozens of surrounding villages, including the Gram Panchayats of Gudma, Kompalli, Ketulnar, Saknapalli, Adavali, Ambeli, Kutru, Mangapetha, Darbha, Ukapatnam, Karkeli, Hurragubaali, Farsegarh, Ranibodli, Sagameta, Penkaram, Somanpalli, and Mandhem, participated in this massive camp.

“Calling to ensure 100% benefits under the Bastar Munne Program,”
said the Chief Guest. “It is our resolve to ensure 100% benefits of government schemes reach every eligible person under the Bastar Munne (Children of Bastar/Aage) program. To achieve this, villagers should have their necessary documents ready on time and fully cooperate with the government staff deployed at the camps. He further stated that currently, benefits from most government schemes are being transferred directly to beneficiaries’ bank accounts through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer), for which linking of the bank account and Aadhaar card is mandatory.” He also highlighted the importance of the Ayushman Card, explaining that it provides free treatment up to ₹5 lakh annually to eligible families.
A unique confluence of emotional and social concerns,
the camp witnessed a highly sensitive and emotional scene when the Women and Child Development Department performed the baby shower ceremony for pregnant mothers and the Annaprashan ceremony for babies who had completed six months, following traditional rituals. This initiative transformed the administrative camp into a family-friendly and intimate celebration.

More than 24 departments offered their services.
For the convenience of the villagers, more than 24 government departments set up stalls at the camp, providing on-the-spot benefits to eligible beneficiaries. Keys to newly constructed pucca houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana were handed over to beneficiaries. The Social Welfare Department distributed assistive devices to empower the disabled with self-reliance. Key departments, including Agriculture, Fisheries, and Revenue, distributed agricultural inputs and related materials. The Public Relations Department distributed various guides, government publications and information materials free of cost based on the achievements and schemes of the state government.
‘Confidence in quick resolution of public problems’
On this platform of Good Governance Festival, villagers also submitted applications related to their personal and community problems. The administrative officers present in the camp registered all the applications sensitively and gave a solid assurance of their quick and quality resolution. On this occasion, District President Smt. Dashri Korsa, District Panchayat Member Smt. Preeti Arki, District Vice President Shri Jitendra Lekam along with local public representatives, SDM Bhairamgarh, District Panchayat CEO and senior officers and employees of various departments were specially present.
