Principal Secretary of the State Government, Mr. Sonmani Bora, was on a visit to the Achanakmar area of the Lormi development block of the district. During the visit, he conducted a detailed review of the PM Janman, Dharti Aba Janjati Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, and the ongoing development works in the Achanakmar Tiger Reserve area at the Shivtarai meeting hall in the Achanakmar area. During the meeting, officials were given necessary guidelines regarding the expansion of education, health, tourism, employment, and infrastructure in tribal areas. Principal Secretary Mr. Bora urged that health services in tribal areas be made more accessible and effective so that people in remote areas can receive timely treatment. He directed that birth certificates be issued on a priority basis, ensuring that eligible beneficiaries receive timely benefits from various government schemes. Considering the tourism potential, the Principal Secretary directed the development of homestay facilities in the ATR area and work towards tourism in Khudiya. He also directed the preparation of an action plan to train tribal youth as tourist guides. He said that there are vast possibilities of tourism, education and skill development in Achanakmar area, which can be better utilized to provide employment to the local youth.

Secretary Mr. Bora emphasized strengthening the education system, emphasizing the need to provide children with quality education, as well as skill-based training, to empower them to become self-reliant. Reviewing the PM Janman Yojana, he directed that eligible beneficiaries be prioritized and basic amenities be developed in ashrams and hostels under the Dharti Aba Janjati Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan. The Principal Secretary also directed that necessary repairs be completed in all schools and hostels before the start of the next academic session. The meeting also discussed in detail the progress of the proposed displacement in the core area of the Achanakmar Tiger Reserve, and the status of housing, drinking water, and other schemes under the PM Janman Yojana. The Principal Secretary emphasized the need for mobile medical units, Anganwadi services, and improved access to health, education, and other government services for the PVTG Baiga communities. He directed officials to conduct a survey of the availability of basic amenities in the area and ensure saturation of various schemes.
Secretary Mr. Bora stated that there is no shortage of talent in the PVTG Baiga community; the need is to connect them with education and skill development. To this end, instructions were given to prepare an action plan to develop library facilities in the Achanakmar area. Collector Mr. Kundan Kumar, SSP Mr. Bhojram Patel, DFO Mr. Abhinav Kumar, Additional Collector Mrs. Nishtha Pandey Tiwari, District Panchayat CEO Mr. Prabhakar Pandey, Lormi SDM Mr. Ajit Pujari, and officials from various departments were present at the meeting.
