- 509 problems resolved on the spot
In line with the Chhattisgarh government’s vision of bringing the light of development to the last person and resolving public problems near their homes, the mega-campaign “Good Governance Festival 2026” continues to achieve new milestones of success. In this context, villagers witnessed tremendous enthusiasm at the cluster-level public problem resolution camp held in the village panchayat of Ghatula in the Nagari development block of Dhamtari district. Thanks to administrative promptness, 509 applications were resolved on the spot under one roof, providing significant relief to the villagers.
Villagers from 14 gram panchayats, including Ghatula, Latiyara, Paikbhatha, Ratawa, Podagaon, Lakhanpuri, Farasgaon, Paondwar, Gidhawa, Borai, Ghutkel, Mainpur, Birnasili, and Likhma, gathered at the camp. Not only were people’s complaints heard, but live information on the government’s welfare schemes was also shared through stalls set up by various departments, providing an opportunity for awareness.
A total of 528 applications were received during the camp, of which 523 were related to various demands and 5 were related to public complaints. The sensitivity of the government and administration can be gauged from the fact that 509 of the received applications were resolved on the spot, providing immediate relief to the beneficiaries. For the remaining applications, the senior officials present issued strict instructions to the concerned departments to take prompt action within the time limit.
- Schemes given to the beneficiaries
The beneficiaries were given the gift of schemes at the camp site itself, under which nutrition kits were distributed to 04 beneficiaries by the Women and Child Development Department, Ayushman cards to 03 villagers by the Health Department, disabled assistive devices to 01 beneficiary by the Social Welfare Department and MNREGA job cards to the villagers by the Panchayat and Rural Development Department.
- The gap between the government and the people has reduced.
The administrative officials who reached the camp clarified that the real purpose of Good Governance Festival is to immediately solve the problems of the common citizens with sensitivity and transparency, due to which the gap between the government and the public is reducing and the trust of the people towards the administration has become stronger.
