Fertilizers are being made available to farmers through the district’s 114 cooperative societies and private fertilizer dealers. According to the Agriculture Department, the district currently has adequate fertilizer storage, and distribution is being continuously conducted according to demand.
According to information received from the Deputy Director of Agriculture, the district has received a target of 68,950 tons of chemical fertilizers for Kharif 2026. Against this target, over 46,780 tons of fertilizers have been stored so far, representing approximately 60.28 percent of the target. Agriculture Department officials have been instructed to conduct regular inspections at fertilizer societies and private vendors. Strict vigil is being maintained against fertilizer black marketing, hoarding, and irregular distribution. Collector Mr. Agarwal has directed officials to ensure quality fertilizer is available to farmers at the prescribed rates and to ensure daily monitoring of demand and supply. The district administration has appealed to farmers to purchase fertilizer only from authorized cooperative societies and licensed vendors and to immediately report any irregularities to the Agriculture Department.
