- Farmers are increasingly turning to lower input costs, better nutrition, and greater efficiency.
In Chhattisgarh, modern agricultural techniques are being promoted to make the agricultural sector more profitable and sustainable. Farmers in the state are now using nanotechnology-based fertilizers alongside conventional fertilizers to reduce farming costs, increase production, and improve soil health. The use of nano-urea and nano-DAP is yielding positive results, steadily increasing farmers’ confidence in these fertilizers.
Progressive farmers in various regions of the state are becoming an inspiration for others through their successful use of nano-fertilizers. Mr. Shankar Lal Gupta, a progressive farmer from Surguja district, has gained significant experience using nano-urea and nano-DAP in his field. He reported that this technology, adopted based on scientific advice, has improved crop growth, and the plants appear healthier and stronger.
Farmers say that the biggest advantage of nano-fertilizers is their easy transportation and storage. While conventional fertilizers require the transportation and handling of large bags, small bottles of nano-fertilizers can be easily transported to the fields. This significantly reduces time, labor, and transportation costs.
According to experts, nano urea and nano DAP are sprayed directly onto crops, enabling more effective nutrient absorption. This increases fertilizer use efficiency, ensuring crops receive the necessary nutrients in a timely manner. Furthermore, they also reduce wastage compared to conventional fertilizers.
The use of nano fertilizers is also considered important for environmental protection and maintaining soil fertility. Agricultural experts believe that this technology promotes balanced nutrient management and contributes to more sustainable agriculture.
The state government is continuously conducting awareness campaigns to connect farmers with modern agricultural techniques. The Agriculture Department is providing farmers with information on the use of nano fertilizers, their benefits, and new methods of scientific farming. This is promoting modern and smart agriculture in the state, and farmers are moving towards achieving higher production at lower costs.
