Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is fast emerging as India’s new global investment and export hub. Our Madhya Pradesh is now moving forward with its strong identity even in the global business world. He said that Madhya Pradesh is also playing an important role with its maximum capabilities in the growing mutual economic partnership between India and Latin American and Caribbean countries. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is a land of infinite opportunities. Stable and transparent policies of the region are investment and industry friendly. We are making rapid progress in the fields of IT & Electronics, Renewable Energy, Automobile, Pharma Industry, Food Processing, Textile, Defense Sector, and Technology. We have a ready-to-use land bank of over 1.25 lakh acres available.

Today, Madhya Pradesh has become the biggest hub of logistics and connectivity. A robust road network of more than 5 lakh km and state-of-the-art rail and air connectivity have facilitated transportation in the region. In the next 5 years we will develop 6 major industrial corridors, which will further strengthen road connectivity from Malwa to Bundelkhand and Nimar to Vindhya. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav invited trade representatives of Latin-American and Caribbean countries for investment, production and innovation in Madhya Pradesh and said that we are ready for a solid and long-term partnership with you. He said that Madhya Pradesh being in the middle of the country is the most favorable place for trade and business. There is no problem with law and order in the state. There is no shortage of industrial skilled workers here. Madhya Pradesh is a state adopted by everyone, which is now here, why is it here. Invest in Madhya Pradesh with an open heart, investing here is a big deal.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the inaugural session of Indo-Latin America and Caribbean Trade and Investment Forum – 2026 held in Indore on Saturday. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav formally started the inaugural session of this trade forum by lighting the lamp.

  • Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that in the last financial year 2025-26, Madhya Pradesh’s exports to Latin America and Caribbean countries have increased to Rs 3,835 crore, which shows a significant increase of 19 percent compared to the previous year. Pharmaceuticals sector has played a special role in this achievement.
  • Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that pharmaceuticals, engineering products, plastic products and jumbo bags, agro-based products and the manufacturing sector have emerged as major pillars of the region’s export potential. Madhya Pradesh’s trade with countries like Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Dominican Republic, Argentina, Peru and Colombia is constantly touching new heights.
  • The Chief Minister said that these figures are direct evidence of the love, adoption, trust and day-by-day global acceptance of ‘Made in India’ along with ‘Made in MP’ products in Latin American and Caribbean countries.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar had given a new identity to Malwa on the strength of her good governance and leadership ability. He said that Indore used to be a major commercial center even in ancient times due to its advanced trade and business facilities . Earlier, the world trade was done here through the silk route. Affinities can be seen in the traditions of India and Latin America. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that today Madhya Pradesh is one of the fastest growing industrial states of India. We are promoting the concept of ‘Vocal for Local’ in true sense, so the economic progress of Madhya Pradesh is now ‘Local to Global’. Now we have also become a strong part of the global value chain. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that just as the ancient cultures of Latin America worshiped Mother Earth (Pachamama), we worship the five elements and particles of nature. He said that the gaiety, music, passion, family bond and vibrancy of our tribal arts all have great similarities in our festivals. It states that our values ​​of life and our values ​​are essentially one and the same.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav expressed his happiness and said that in the golden age of independence, our India is determined to advance in trade, business and all sectors worldwide with its capabilities, competences and characteristics.

Madhya Pradesh can play the role of the most reliable and supply chain partner for Brazil’s industrial needs. Madhya Pradesh can become a reliable partner for supply of engineering machines with Peru. We look forward to working with Cuba’s world-renowned biotech and pharma research to create new innovations in the medical field. Madhya Pradesh’s ever-growing trade with Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Dominican Republic, Argentina, Peru and Colombia is proof of our unwavering confidence.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav told the business representatives of the member countries of the forum that they are all present in Madhya Pradesh in the amritkal of independence. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, our country is moving forward with the vision of “Developed India-2047”. Global trade and strategic partnerships play an important role in realizing the vision. He said that from agriculture and food processing to advanced healthcare, pharma, IT, digital technology, green and clean energy, mining and logistics, there are many areas where we can create a history together. He said that we have to play the role of partner rather than buyer-seller, importer-exporter. We will establish joint ventures, transfer advanced technology and give a new impetus to mutual skill development and investment cooperation.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that automobiles, engineering products and strong industrial packaging (jumbo bags/FIBC) are the main backbone of our exports. In this era of ‘auto nearshoring’ going on in Mexico and for the industrial needs of Brazil, Madhya Pradesh can play the role of the most reliable and competitive supply chain partner. He said that our Indore is one of the fastest growing IT and start-up hubs in the country today. Mexico’s IT ecosystem, Dominican Republic’s tourism-tech and Ecuador’s emerging fintech scene, we have skilled and innovative youth available to meet your global demands.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that agriculture is the backbone of India’s economy and yours is also the main pillar of the economy. He said that Madhya Pradesh is becoming the food basket of India. adhya Pradesh is becoming the powerhouse of the country in the fields of agriculture and food processing . By coordinating with the strong agricultural and food processing technologies of Madhya Pradesh, Argentina and Guatemala, we can make an effort towards global food security on a larger scale. Our micro, small and medium enterprise sector is fully capable of providing customized products and services as per the needs of Latin-American-Caribbean countries. Madhya Pradesh is a leader in solar energy and mineral wealth. Madhya Pradesh can become an ideal and reliable partner for the supply of engineering machines for the mineral deposits of Chile and Peru and the energy resources sector of Venezuela.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is a power surplus state. We have a production capacity of more than 31 thousand megawatts, of which 30 percent is clean energy. The country’s abundant mineral wealth like diamond, manganese and limestone and water reserves for industries further strengthen our industrial backbone. He said that Madhya Pradesh’s start-up ecosystem is exemplary in the country. More than 45 percent of our more than 6,000 start-ups are run by women entrepreneurs. We are providing all necessary facilities to women, thereby promoting women workforce. Giving a new direction to ‘Ease of Doing Business’, we have implemented ‘Jan Vishwas Act’. 108 old and complex rules have been simplified before being completely eliminated.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav expressed confidence that the ongoing churning in the India-Latin America and Caribbean Trade and Investment Forum will give a new direction to the economic relations of the two regions. The valuable suggestions and nectar messages emanating from this forum will be imbibed and implemented by the State Government with full commitment, capacity and vigilance, so that Madhya Pradesh will emerge more strongly on the map of global trade and investment.

Ambassador of Uruguay to India Shri A Marilla said that Madhya Pradesh has always attracted us in ‘Incredible India’. The Government of India has achieved its goals on the strength of its will power. Prime Minister Shri Modi has resolved to develop India @2047. Uruguay has strengthened its relations with India and increased trade and investment activities. Now goods products are being delivered to India from South America at a fast pace. He said that now it is only the beginning, the best result of business relations between us is still to come. This event will definitely promote investment and trade.

Principal Secretary Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Mr. Raghavendra Kumar Singh gave a presentation on industrial development and immense investment potential of Madhya Pradesh. He said that Madhya Pradesh has immense potential for trade and investment for Latin American and Caribbean countries. Madhya Pradesh has the highest industrial growth. Madhya Pradesh is also called ‘Heart of Incredible India’. Being in the middle of the country, there is easy air, rail and road transport. Madhya Pradesh ranks second in India in wheat production. There are a total of 340 Notified Industrial Areas in the state. Sufficient water is available in the state for industrial activities. Government of Madhya Pradesh has constituted a Cabinet Committee for Industrial Promotion, chaired by the Chief Minister himself. The state government has implemented 18 industry-focused policies for ease of doing business. A single window system is also applicable in the state for industries and investors. Investors and large industrial groups from the country and the world have trusted the industry-friendly policies of the Madhya Pradesh government. As a result of this there has been a huge boom in investment in every sector in the state.

In the welcome address, Global India Business Forum Founder and Global President Dr. Jitendra Joshi said that India and Latin America are only separated by sea, but are working together for a common goal. The basic objective of India-Latin America and Caribbean Trade and Investment Forum-2026 is to enrich the Global South and strengthen its sovereignty. Madhya Pradesh is the most dynamic state for industrial investment, where pharmaceutical, manufacturing, agriculture, service industry, automobile parts and other products are also being manufactured. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav’s far-sighted vision has made the Global Investors Summit-2025 and Regional Industrial Conclave in Madhya Pradesh possible. He said that today the trade representatives of 15 countries have joined the India-Latin America and Caribbean Trade and Investment Forum.
