- Now all families are getting regular drinking water
The villagers of Baiga settlement Kohkajhori, located in village Garra of development block Chhuikhadan of Khairagarh district, have got great relief due to the solution of drinking water problem. The villagers of the settlement, who were facing drinking water problem for a long time, reached the district office along with the village Panchayat members and informed the collector about their problem. Taking the problem of the villagers seriously, Collector Mr. Indrajit Singh Chandrawal directed the Public Health Engineering Department to inspect the site and take necessary action. After the instructions, the departmental officers reached the spot, took stock of the situation and started necessary action to resolve the drinking water problem.
Following the Collector’s instructions, the Public Health Engineering Department dug a new tube well and installed a hand pump in the Kohkajhori Baiga settlement. The installation of the hand pump ensured the availability of potable water in the area, solving a long-standing problem for the villagers. With the new hand pump, villagers no longer have to rely on distant sources for water. This has brought relief, especially to women, the elderly, and children, who previously had to spend extra time and effort arranging drinking water.
Currently, all families in the Kohkajori Baiga settlement are regularly provided with drinking water from a hand pump installed by the Public Health Engineering Department. With the drinking water system running smoothly, the villagers’ daily needs are being met easily. The villagers expressed their happiness at the resolution of their drinking water problem and expressed their gratitude to the Collector and departmental officials.
