In order to expand basic amenities and promote local employment opportunities in the rural areas of Kondagaon district, Ms. Lata Usendi, Vice-Chairperson of Bastar Development Authority and Kondagaon MLA, inaugurated a commercial complex constructed at a cost of Rs. 15 lakh in Gram Panchayat Karsing of Kondagaon development block. She also performed the ground breaking ceremony for the commercial complex to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 15 lakh.
On this occasion, MLA Ms. Lata Usendi said that the state government is continuously working to strengthen infrastructure in rural areas and promote local economic activities. The construction of the commercial complex will provide better employment and self-employment opportunities for local youth and villagers and will give new impetus to the region’s commercial development.
Appealing to the villagers to take maximum benefit of the government’s public welfare schemes, he said that every eligible labourer must get his/her labour registration done so that they can avail the benefits of various welfare schemes run by the Labour Department. He said that the objective of the government schemes is to provide facilities to the last person and for this, active participation of all is necessary.
Kondagaon District Vice President Shri Tomendra Singh Thakur, Shri Deepesh Arora, Shri Pilsu Netam, Shri Ramsing Korram along with local public representatives, villagers and a large number of citizens were present in the programme.
