Talent search showcases the talent of youth, Boxing-Badminton and Archery Trials

The “Talent Search 2026-27” campaign conducted by the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare, Madhya Pradesh is emerging as a golden opportunity for the young sportspersons of the state. The ever-increasing participation in the trials organized for the selection of suitable players for the state sports academies is proof that the sports talents of the region are fully prepared to make their mark at the national and international level.

TT located in capital Bhopal on Saturday. A large number of players participated enthusiastically in the selection trials held at Nagar Stadium and Jhabua and displayed their sporting abilities impressively.

  • Enthusiasm of sportsmen in Madhya Pradesh State Boxing Academy

TT A total of 148 players participated in the selection trials held at Madhya Pradesh State Boxing Academy located at Nagar Stadium, including 84 boys and 64 girls. The selection process was conducted as per the prescribed technical standards under the supervision of experienced trainers. Trials were conducted under the leadership of Chief Coach Roshan Lal. During this, assistant coaches Neha Kashyap, Sonam Nayak and Bharat Pansoria carefully evaluated the performance of the players.

  • 70 players showcased their talent in Badminton Trials

TT 70 players participated in Badminton Selection Trials organized at Nagar Stadium, Bhopal and displayed their technical proficiency and sportsmanship. The selection process was led by Gwalior Badminton Academy Head Coach Mr. Agus Dwi Santosa, who has been the former coach of Indian star shuttler PV Sindhu in the years 2021 and 2023. Along with them, Indonesia’s doubles specialist coach Mr. Sofian and assistant coach Mr. Vineet Sarode evaluated the performance of the players.

  • Successful organization of archery trials in Jhabua

22 sportsmen participated in the archery selection trials organized in Jhabua and demonstrated their concentration, technical skills and marksmanship. The active participation of sportspersons from remote areas proved that there is immense potential for sports talent even in the tribal and rural areas of the region.

  • Talent selection will be done through transparent process

The selection process is being conducted by the department with complete transparency and in accordance with the prescribed standards. The players are being evaluated on the basis of physical ability, technical proficiency, fitness and sport-specific requirements, so that the best talents can be selected and provided high-level training with modern facilities in state sports academies.

  • Talent search campaign will continue across the region

Under “Talent Search 2026-27”, the selection trials of various sports will be held in the coming days in different districts of the region as per the scheduled schedule. The Department of Sports and Youth Welfare has called upon the eligible sportspersons to participate in the trials in maximum number, so that a strong base can be laid in the direction of taking the new sports talents of Madhya Pradesh to the national and international platforms.

  • The selection trials will also continue in the upcoming phase

In the upcoming phases of the talent search campaign, selection trials of various sports including athletics, triathlon, kayaking and canoeing, men’s hockey, women’s hockey, archery, taekwondo will be organized as per the scheduled program. This will give an opportunity to more sportspersons of the region to showcase their talent.
