Adani Power Limited and Adani Foundation Transform the Landscape of Raigarh Villages

The Adani Foundation, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of Adani Power Limited, is scripting a new chapter of holistic and sustainable development in the rural areas of Raigarh district. Multi-dimensional development initiatives spanning education, health, drinking water, skill development, women’s empowerment, livelihood enhancement, sports, environmental conservation, and rural infrastructure have brought positive changes to the lives of thousands of families. Today, the Adani Foundation’s initiatives are establishing themselves not merely as CSR programs, but as an effective, inclusive, and result-oriented model of rural development.

**Rural Infrastructure Strengthened**

To improve connectivity and basic amenities in rural areas, the Adani Foundation has constructed 9.87 kilometers of CC (cement concrete) roads, 10 community sheds, and 745 meters of RCC drains. Six modern toilet blocks have been built in government schools across Bade Bhandar, Sarwani, Amlibhauna, Kotmara, Supa, and Taparda, providing clean and safe facilities to over 500 students, particularly girls. The renovation of schools in Bade Bhandar and Chandrapur has provided a better learning environment for 545 students.

**Integrating Modernity and Quality into Education**

Work on quality education and infrastructure development is underway in 34 schools under the Adani Foundation’s “Utthan Project.”

An activity-based learning environment has been created for approximately 1,200 students across 22 schools through BALA (Building as Learning Aid) paintings. Digital smart classrooms have been set up in 40 schools. Additionally, more than 5,000 students have directly benefited from the distribution of desks and benches, smart TVs, school bags, sweaters, stationery, and study materials across over 36 schools.

**Effective Initiatives for Clean Energy and Environmental Conservation**

Solar energy-based panels have been installed in 34 schools to promote clean energy. Solar street lights and high-mast lights have been installed across various villages, leading to significant improvements in safety, mobility, and public amenities in rural areas.

**Better Health through Clean Drinking Water**

To ensure access to safe drinking water for villagers, 10 RO water purification systems have been set up in various schools and communities. Community RO plants established in Bade Bhandar, Supa, Chhote Bhandar, and Sarwani are providing clean drinking water to over 5,000 villagers.

**Skill Development Connecting Youth to Employment**

Local youth are receiving employment-oriented training through the Adani Skill Development Centre (ASDC) in Supa. Currently, 60 youths are undergoing training in various vocational courses, with 100% placement assistance provided. Additionally, 13 youths affected by land acquisition have been provided with free ITI training.

**Economic Self-Reliance through Women Empowerment**

More than 100 women have received training through tailoring centers; of these, over 50 women have earned an income exceeding ₹3.5 lakh by manufacturing school uniforms and other garments.

Furthermore, over 200 women have been trained in agriculture, mushroom cultivation, terracotta work, beauty parlor services, and other self-employment activities. Through these initiatives, women have earned over ₹18 lakh from tomato production, ₹5 lakh from mushroom cultivation, and ₹1.5 lakh from terracotta work.

**Increased Farmers’ Income through Livestock Development**
