The Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme (Urban) and the Mahatari Vandan Yojana have transformed the lives of Phulmati Devi’s family.

  • Monthly assistance for children’s education, permanent housing provides a safe and respectable life

The government’s beneficiary-oriented schemes are bringing positive changes to the lives of needy families. The family of Mrs. Phulmati Devi, a resident of Mathpara in the Ambikapur Municipal Corporation in Surguja district, is a living example of this. The monthly assistance of one thousand rupees from the Mahatari Vandan Yojana and the permanent home provided under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) have given her family new hope and a respectable life.

Mrs. Phoolmati Devi explained that she is using the monthly financial assistance she receives under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana to support her children’s education. She said this amount not only helps meet the family’s basic needs but also supports their children’s education. She explained that she has three sons and two daughters, one of whom is currently studying. The family’s primary occupation is manual labor, and despite their limited income, they are striving to provide their children with a better education.

He said that receiving a permanent home under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme) was his life’s biggest dream, and it had now come true. He emotionally remarked that he never imagined he would own a permanent home in the city. Today, his family has the opportunity to live in a safe, clean, and respectable environment.

Phulmati Devi’s husband, Mr. Sanjay Chaudhary, stated that a house was approved in his wife’s name under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, which has made the entire family extremely happy. He added that previously, living in a mud house with a thatched roof made the rainy season difficult. The lack of proper toilets and bathrooms also made life difficult for the women and other family members. But now, with a pucca house, toilets, and other basic amenities, their lives have become much easier and safer.

He said the government’s schemes have given his family a new identity and confidence. He is now inspired to work harder for a better future for his children.

Mrs. Phoolmati Devi and Mr. Sanjay Chaudhary expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Dev Sai and Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi for public welfare schemes like the Mahatari Vandan Yojana and the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and said that the benefits of such government schemes should continue to reach the poor and needy families, so that the lives of more and more people can be improved.
