- 8,534 people created a world record by forming a human chain, Indore Police broke its previous record

Chief Minister Dr. Under the leadership of Mohan Yadav and the guidance of Director General of Police Mr. Kailash Makwana, the comprehensive public awareness campaign against drug addiction in the region “ Nashe Se Dastri Hai Mazhoori 2.0” got historic public participation in Indore. 8,534 students , members of social organizations , sportsmen , city security committee members , police officers-employees and citizens formed a human chain together in a massive public awareness program organized under the direction of Police Commissioner, Indore, Mr. Santosh Kumar Singh, and established a world record against drug addiction.
With this achievement, the Indore Police Commissionerate has broken the previous world record of its own anti-drug series. Earlier, Indore Police held the record of 7,100 human chains. This time the participation of 8,534 people not only set a new record , but also strongly represented the collective commitment of Indore to the nation for creating a drug free society.
On behalf of World Book of Records, Editor Mrs. Apoorva Menon and Mr. Palash Shukla presented the record of this achievement to Police Commissioner Indore Mr. Santosh Kumar Singh.
- Achievement in the direction of two records in one event
This arrangement is not limited to the vast human chain. A mass awareness program was organized to sensitize more than 8,534 people about the ill effects of drug addiction. A world record claim has also been submitted for this achievement. Thus, Indore Police Commissionerate has achieved a significant achievement in the direction of establishing two world records in one event.
Addressing the program, Commissioner of Police Indore Mr. Santosh Kumar Singh highlighted the social , family and personal ill effects of drug addiction and called upon the youth to stay away from drug addiction and make other people of the society aware. He said that the fight against drug addiction is not only the police’s responsibility , but the entire society’s responsibility. The goal of a drug free society can be achieved only when families , educational institutions , social organizations , administration and citizens work together .
During the program, Commissioner of Police Mr. Santosh Kumar Singh took an oath to the people present to stay away from drugs. The participants resolved to stay away from drugs themselves , to sensitize their families and friends and to play an active role in creating a drug-free Indore and a drug-free Madhya Pradesh.

Singh , Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Mr. Mayank Awasthi , Deputy Commissioner of Police , Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police , Assistant Commissioner of Police , Police Station In-charge and Police Officer-Staff , Officer-Staff of Police Training College and RAPTC , Students and teachers of various schools and colleges , Sportsmen of Physical Academy , Trainee Doctors of Medical College , Representatives of Social Organizations , Members of Nagar Suraksha Samiti , Social Media Influencers. , media representatives and a large number of citizens attended.

In Madhya Pradesh, under the campaign “ Nashe Se Dastri Hai Mazhoori 2.0”, extensive public awareness activities are being conducted by the police in schools , colleges , coaching institutes , settlements , social organizations and various sections of the society. The aim of the campaign is to ensure public participation for creating a drug free society by making the youth and common people aware of the ill effects of drugs.
This historic event in Indore is a strong proof that when the police and society stand together against a social evil , public awareness can take the form of an effective mass movement.
